In my experience the most petty enforcers of this kind of crap are the ones that either break the most rules or the biggest ones.

aka, the giant bloodthirsty dogs in a neighborhood full of toddlers and no fences, etc

Yeah, they will. I guess you plan to stand your ground with your AR? I think you need to think that thru. You will lose there too. The law has you by the nads and your guns won't scare them away. They can take your house and they will if you don't play by the rules you signed when you moved in. It is that simple. HOAs are evil.
Stand my ground with my AR, now that's funny. I'm not going to take this thread out of bounds, but like I said, no you wouldn't.

I can’t. My garage is full of machines. Laser bed cutter, tormach cnc, and fiber laser. It won’t fit.

Not like “don’t want it to fit” like can’t fit.

Just wait, they'll also get you for running a commercial business out of your garage and fine you for that! Sounds like a move to a property with a nice amount of acreage and a big shop would be in order. Good luck.

Tada! Out of site.

Can you hang the trailer from the ceiling to store it?

This will make you laugh, homeowner put in a pool and neighbor filed complaint with HOA, they start fining him and put lein on the home.
He went to court and won the case, judgement for $300,000. HOA insurance only covered part of it, dues hiked up to make up the difference.
He sold the house and moved on, HOA changed the complaint rules so three homeowners who are not related must make a complaint before the
HOA takes the complaint. True story in Wake County, NC Harrington Grove subdivision.

Hey man, I’m no carpenter by any stretch of the imagination but you can I could put in a gate big enough for the trailer on a Saturday or Sunday, let me know and I’ll be happy to help out.

As an aside they said the trailer has to be put away when not in “use”, unless they define what “use” is tell them it is in “use”, it’s being used to piss then off.

Ask a buddy to let you store the trailer a couple of months. Then get the HOA rule book and go thru it with a microscope. Then look up the most pain in butt stuff that they HAVE NOT MADE A RULE FOR. Then just run with it. They can't think of everything.

I would buy the most ugliest clapped out rust bucket piece of crap truck without a muffler to hook the trailer to. Then park both on the side of the house.

Then on Sunday mornings, nice and early, get a real big cup of coffee and drive my truck around the neighborhood dragging my trailer that would have something, anything on it untill my coffee was all gone. Then go back and park it on the side of my house.

Next Sunday, do it all again.

My Google-foo has failed me,I can't find the article.
Reminds me of where a HOA went after a family because they painted their house nicely, but it wasn't the neighborhood approved color (close).
So they painted a black and white two story Dalmatian on the side, hilarious.
You can have some laughs searching through HOA revenge, I did :D

I think the main problem here is that the bylaws say “no trailers” and the board has changed the ruling to “store out of sight while not being used” the trailer has been move to where you cant see it (behind the trash cans). Even while standing at the road you can’t see it. But they don’t care. They know where it is and for that they want to bill me daily.

View attachment 60627 They have no grounds against me on the trash cans location because over 1/2 the people have them in the driveway.
This should work with that setup...
