I say semi off topic because it doesn't really involve communications, but it was a suggestion I received from a fellow ham during a QSO and it is very much a part of the history of radio, including ham. For those that haven't encountered it, there are large archives of the classic, circa 1940, radio (pre television) programs recorded and archived on line thst one can listen to for free, either download or stream on the web.
Rather than post a specific site, I suggest searching for "vintage radio programs" and you will get a list of several archives. I'm currently lidtenung to Dimension X which came out in 1940 and had 50 episodes. There are a lot of classics like gun smoke and detective stories, as well as some sci-fi which works really well in the radio format.
