I'll use this pic to point out some things that make me scratch my head. It boils down to making something fast IMO. A gun as small as the Shield should not be sticking out of the kydex AND the leather. That's one of the reasons I use a larger piece of kydex to start from and cut the leather with a belly down instead of cut up like this one. That way it's covered front and back. And the sweat shield on mine is a bit larger to try and cover the rear sights. And I also fit them myself to try and get the grip as clear as possible away from the sweat shield. OWB, sure they hang out the bottom. But I try very hard to ensure that my IWB holsters are covered to keep them from poking the wearer or hanging on clothing.
