So last weekend there was a shooting at the night club across the street. I don't know how that many rounds were fired and no one was hit. I keep a long gun in what ever I drive to work that day. I also keep one if my ccw pistols in there as well. We have to wear a button down shirt that is tucked in, so it makes carrying a mid sized pistol like a glock 19 a little hard. I didn't own any thing that was actually subcompact, so I sold off a safe queen and got a shield today. Any holster suggestions for a tucked in shirt.

Yeah, I've got some hybrid and full leather options. PM me.

FWIW, someone cracked off 3 rds last night. Luckily not too close to wear I work but close enough to be certain they were gun shots.

A quality ankle rig is another option that I think kinda gets the redhead stepchild look unfairly. They've come a long way.
I prefer to wear mine on the outside of my right ankle. With practice, it can be drawn just about in the same time as an iwb behind a tucked shirt.
This works especially good with lighter pants like suits and dockers.
Of course, consider drawbacks like driving or being seated in confined areas.

Lol, y'all should've heard what was going on round here Saturday night-
I normally don't mind the guys behind our property shooting, but mag dumps at 1am kept me a bit on the edge. They didn't wake the wife, who had to work early Sunday, so they were spared her wrath...and so was I.

I ankle carry with a lightweight .357 a lot in business/dress clothes

Love my Chief Jason shield OWB... highly recommended.

I carry my shield in an ankle holster at work. My work environment requires me to have to carry this way due to tucked in shirt. Only advice on buying one is don't go cheap. The first one I bought was a cheap one and it was irritating after a few hours. Even with the higher quality one I bought for the shield, it sometimes gets a bit heavy so some days I carry a lighter 380 to be a bit more comfortable.

Any of your hybrid holsters will be tuckable. The tucked carry does not work for me very well, so I move to pocket carrying a 380 if I need to have a tucked shirt. I had a Kahr cm9 that was great for pocket carry also.

I routinely CC a Remington Tac-14 in an Inside Trousers Inseam scabbard (ITI carry) in my Zoot Suit, when I perform on stage at Banquets and Weddings and other special events.

Here I am, on stage at the Kennedy Center Honors performing a couple months ago.

You see? Of course not, it's a jammy cool way of effectively concealing a Sha-Boom! ...The Tac-14 is inside the trousers inseam of my right leg...

CRAP! There was a shooting at the night club across the street from my bed?
I slept right through it...
Now I want to fondle @chiefjason 's work.
I use the Crossbreed Supertuck WITH the Combat Cut (or do it yourself), my G23 & G27 fit great. The only thing you'll notice is the clips on my belt wearing a T-shirt, polo or button down.

How well do you like those clips? Wonder if they hold up well….
BoG is the guinea pig on those. He has both a solid set and the clipover set. Ive not used them enough to get a feel for the longevity yet.

I ankle carry a Shield when I tuck my shirt in, it is not a great place for a primary firearm but it's the best option I've come up with... Especially when paired with a pocket carried .380 on the support side. Spare magazine for Shield goes on the other ankle.

G27 on one ankle, two G22 mags on the other. I find I walk a lot "smoother" with the additional weight on both ankles instead of just one.

Sometimes it's a G27 on one ankle and Pitbull 9 or 40 on the other. Really wish I could get mag pouches/pockets sewn into the opposite sides of both ankles holsters for a couple more config options.

OP Just saw where you traded/sold off your p01. Wish I had saw it sooner I had a complete carry package I would have been interested in trading. Stealth gear makes nice iwb holsters.

Stealth Gear is pricey but super comfortable. I used to have one before I switched to AIWB carry.

I have been tempted to keep my rifle in the truck at work as well lately. The only thing keeping me from doing it is the fear of it being stolen out of my truck. How do you secure yours while at work?

Quite well they actually surprised me. How long will they hold like that becomes the question.
I like the concept. It would be nice to carry OWB without having to thread the belt through loops. Geez...we are so spoiled by all these options.

I'll send you a message with all the details.

Be versatile. Try pocket, ankle and a few different IWB holsters to what works. I have an OWB Chief Jason that is great. My tuckable IWB holsters that I really like are #1, a Tucker 'The Answer'. Great build quality, leather and holster. Crossbreeds are decent too, but aren't built quite as well. High Noon makes good tuckable stuff too.

And as for 'nightclubs' I think keeping that long gun as handy as possible is a good plan. Maybe develop an active shooter plan for yourself too. Pre-plan some cover and escape routes. You never know when a bad situation might escalate and expand. Also planning a nearby spot for a friend or family member to come pick you up too. Your vehicle could get disabled or blocked in. Maybe a spot or two a few blocks away.

Yeah... between the two sketchy hotels, the strip club and the night club you have to be on your toes. That and I'm 45 minutes away from home, I try to be prepared for most things that could come my way.
