This morning I drug the idpa bag off the top shelf in the gunsafe where it had set unused for the last three years
Due to my health issues and my dad's death I'd just found a excuse not to go.
When I opened the bag it was just like I left it,4 mag's still fully loaded from the last time I shot idpa , a rock island commander in a silicone sock in the bag.
I thought well I'm going to have to clean that, and change out the ammo, but then I thought with all the 1911 is unreliable threads that I've read on here of late I'm going to run it dirty .
I disassembled it, put three drops of oil, one on each rail and one drop on the face of the slide, but it back together and off I went.
Ran 120 rounds today , No Malfunctions, gun was 100 percent reliable, mag's had set fully compressed for three years, and the 1911 wasn't dripping wet it had three
drops of oil on it ,
So maybe I bought the last reliable 1911, maybe I just got lucky,
But I've never doubted any 1911 I've owned
