Went shooting tonight with @thecarman. Tried out my Beretta model 81, and three of his pocket vest .25s at 7 yards.

I didn’t bother photographing the outer rings, because there were no holes there. ;)

You should be able to shop around and find cheaper paint.
No no. The paint is only $3 a can.

The other $21 was the 700ish rounds of 22LR I fired to get those few hits. :(

Nice target. You could use it to shoot the Casino drill. Load 3 mags randomly with a total of 21 rounds. Shoot each number with the number on it. One in 1. Two in 2 etc..... use center mass for 7. You will have 2 reloads to get to 21. Shoot it at 7 yards in 21 seconds. Once you can clear it then move it back.

It is a good drill. Makes you think about which target you are shooting at. The amount of rounds you have put into each number and when a mag change happens in the middle of a target say round 3 in #5 you have to remember how many to shoot before moving the the next target. I often run it twice with a box of 50. The other 8 for body to head shots.

Here is my target from the LAV KH training a few years ago. I had Ken sign it. In case you are wondering I am the short one. LMAO

Same target from earlier in the day. It also has KH's explanation of the details/specs of a "typical" gunfight.

First shooting for me in 10 days:

20191121_131933.jpg 20191121_134932.jpg 20191121_135947.jpg
Targets 1 and 2, not great. By target 3 I had sort of remembered how to shoot. I must not take 10 days off again! lol. Also, the colors on the first 2 didn't allow me to really see where I was hitting sometimes, so I switched to the plate target.
Next investment in my shooting: Rx glasses!

I don't want Millie shooting at me!

Good rx safety glasses will make a difference.
Shoot Slow & deliberately.

I've started a fund for the glasses, and I hope to have them by the end of the year. It has to help, because the front sight is fuzzy, even though the fiber optic/bright red is helping a LOT!
I think it will be a lot better shooting once I can see the front sight, right?? LOL.

Front sight is the key!
Great grip, great trigger, great stance mean nothing if that front sight isn't there when the bang happens!

I need “readers” to see the front sight clearly. Safety glasses with reader correction are available with various “power” on Amazon for $10 or less.

I've tried the various readers I have around the house, none really crisps up that front sight. I've gone from low power to 3.0.....lol.

great trigger
Trigger is my other big issue! lol. Once I get to where I can see the front sight more clearly, we'll see what I can do about my "trigger problems."

But it's a Glock, you get what you get.

Try a pair of inexpensive readers, + .5 or 1.0, try in store w/o the gun. ;)

Shot an “expert” class time a couple of weeks ago. Four strings of fire at 10 yards.

25 shots in 22 seconds with four draws from the holster on the clock. First string is draw and five to the body. Next string is draw and five to the body strong hand only. Next string is five to the body, reload, five more to the body. Last string is draw then four to the body and one to the head.

Those are casino drill targets. I wish my local ranges had them.

I don't do target pics normally but for you @Millie I will make an exception.

7 rounds from my new Custom Colt at 15 yards. I am not sure what happened to that one that flew high and right.

Then there was this at 10 yards. 50 rounds of 32 ACP from a Beretta 81. Which I think right now is the best value out there in guns. This mini Pizza Blaster is just soooooo much fun to shoot. It does not move. There is no recoil it is literally just pop pop pop.... The holes above the pasted target are from the Colt. The 81 made it easy to keep it on that sticker.
