I saw this years ago, but it's on Amazon, so I watched it again last night. We need a special category for bad war flicks lol. This was bad. I did not recall that it was as bad as it was. Cheesy acting, bad 80s Moog synthesizer music, low-budget photography and special effects. That's not to say I didn't like it lol.

I started writing a post about this a couple days ago and deleted it.

My comment was going to be the R Lee Ermey has terrible trigger discipline.

I’m with you though, the B-Movie war flicks are always good fun.

Yeah, he really does. I don't know if it is the film direction and Hollywood and all, or if he really was like that. His Marine MOSs were aviation support, so who knows.

Movies like this are best enjoyed with buddies over beers where you can heckle and talk over the film.

Another good (bad) one is Platoon Leader with Michael Dudikoff of American Ninja fame.

The standards on this were different in the time he was Active Duty (61-72).

We are all a product of our own history. So it's not surprising his true control would be terrible by our standards.
