I have both and always thought the Sig was a better/more dependable gun until the last couple of range trips. The Walther/Colt shoots more brands ammo then the Sig. I also like the WC does not have a magazine disconnect.

Isn’t the sig the same as the GSG? I used to own one, but after spending too much to get it threaded it wasn’t accurate with a can. Most folks have a better experience with them than I did.

Yes. Same gun.

All the ones I’ve seen cams with a removable thread protector that allowed you to attach an adapter with 1/2-28 threads. Simple swap and not much $$. But maybe they do sell CA complaint models as well.

just be aware that the walther colt is out of production and uses a proprietary magazine

you are correct, I was thinking of the cz kadet. For this one you just unscrew the adaptor and screw on another. Hmm, wonder why I got rid of it, still have the adaptor and a bunch of magazines.

I had the GSG that the SIG is a rebrand of and it was fantastic. I would just wipe out the 22 glop and go right on shooting.

The kids shot over 2000 rounds through it one afternoon and despite removing the crud buildup from the frame to stop the firing pin binding and running my cleaning string down the barrel a couple of times I didn't need to do anything to keep it going and going.

@JimB Yes the Sig and GSG are the same but the Walther/Colt is different. I am leaning more toward the Walther/Colt when the can is involved.

The GSG comes with a threaded barrel tip for a can, I assume the SIG will too

I'm going to take a good look at the new Taurus... it's gotten really good reviews in several of the latest rags (including handgun of the year in American Rifleman). High cap, threaded... sounds good for well under 3 bills

I only got one magazine for the Colt/Walther. Looked for some at the gun show yesterday and could not find any. Guess it is time to hit the internet for a couple.

Glad you mentioned the GSG Sig, I found one at a show some years ago and had not shot it ever, I think it has been in storage for 3 or 4 years. I saw it when I was picking a couple to go plinking with and decided to include it with the .22 revolver, an old square butt M-34. I have to agree that the Sig seems to be dependable as I shot both the LR & the Sub Sonic and both fed and fired really well. Am not so impressed with the trigger, although not extremely bad I had a seemingly long pull before ignition. Y'all know what the M-34 is and although this one was unloved as to it's appearance it will go bang and shoot where it's aimed. I was able to have the range almost to myself and this was a leisurely trip with nothing to prove just to recreate and relax, mission accomplished!
