First I've seen these for sale, but I admit I haven't been watching since they were announced at SHOT last year. These are nice looking pistols. The stocks look like they may be made by Nill. I'm curious how they stack up against the traditional P210 in the accuracy department.

Late last year, I bought a military P210/M49 to replace one I sold a couple years ago. Had I seen these first, I may have been swayed to just get one of these. Mags are cheaper and the gun itself is about half what I spent on the M49.

If anyone here has one of these, I'd like to know your hands-on thoughts and range results.

Yowza. They are proud of that one. Didnā€™t know the Super Targets were anywhere close to that high. Thought they went around $4k.

We've received several of these on the first run. The second run is currently in place. Things happen but one from the first batch that we sold had to be sent back.

$7500?????

How many miles to the gallon does it get?

I agree that the P210 (American) looks nice. And everything I've heard/read about them has been positive.

Here is a link to a comparison test a guy did with his P210-5 LS, P210 Super Target, and P210 American (spoiler alert--the American held its own against the Swiss and German relatives).

It will be interesting to see if the new Sig P210 will out shoot this old "Hot Rod" I cobbled up.View attachment 35942 View attachment 35943 View attachment 35944 View attachment 35945 View attachment 35946 View attachment 35947

Nice shooting at 15 yards but you need to stretch that out to 25 and 50 to really see what these pistols can do. I personally think that 50 yards separates the wheat from the chaff. There are a lot of guns that can make that single hole in the right hands at 15. The number shrinks down when you move to 50 yards. IMHO.

Not that I can shoot tight groups at 50. LOL

The model 52-2 is one of the best things to ever come out of S&W.
It's no joke and will run against anything in it's class, humiliating guns with far richer pedigrees.
Well done Sir.

I have a 50 yard INDOOR range. Believe me this would shoot the same groups at 50. I just didn't have any pictures. I suppose I could have lied, but I don't. The knots this gun shot at 50 were from a Ransom Rest, I ain't THAT good. Again, I suppose I could have lied, but, well, you know. This was the only REAL 52 in 9mm I ever saw. As you can see, it takes a lot of parts to make this work out. I never owned a 952, they are fine I'm sure, but the 52 in 9mm is a wonderful thing.

I am sure it is amazing. I was not criticizing you or questioning that it is an amazing gun. No one said you lied or implied that you would. The caliber swap is cool and certainly extremely rare if not one of a kind. I was just point out that a 15 yard target does not tell you much about how accurate a gun is. Personally I would do no believe the American P210 will be as good as the Swiss or the German guns. If you look at the history of the US designed and produced versions of their Swiss and German counterparts the US version fall short. I hope the American P210 proves me wrong. I look forward to your range report.

Wellllll, I have had the P 210 for a couple of weeks now. Range report is thus, first 50 rounds of 115 Generic Ball ammo, standing, from 25 yards all went into a "group", more a" pattern" than a group. All rounds can be covered my girlish sized hand. Still, I am certain it will do much better. I am thinking some 147s or 150s with more bearing surface might wake it up.
The good news is, I shot every example of 9mm I had on hand for function. If it fits in the mag, it goes in the tube. When I have better news I will keep you informed.
As to the overall of the piece, it is quite a marvel of fitting. Locks up almost as tight as a Les Baer, with a trigger better than my Colt 9mm from Novak. This gun has to shoot better than my first outing. Ya'll don't POSSIBLY think it could be my old 70 year old body hindering it do you?

Great report I look forward to hearing more about how the pistol handles. What kind of groups are you working towards?

wvsig, I will be disappointed if this does not shoot 1 inch 5 round groups at 25 yards, off the bags. I have shot comparable groups from a Novak 1911, Modified S&W 52, and a S&W 952. All these in 9 mm of course.
This gun is so finely fitted, I am sure it will deliver. It has an unexplainable "quality" feel to it. Like the other guns mentioned. If all else fails, I'll put it in the ransom Rest and see what happens. Assuming I can find inserts. Thanks for the interest.
I used to say that only accurate handguns interested me. Thankfully, I came to realize that accuracy needed to be directly connected to the specific need.

If it won't shoot 1" groups at 25 yards with quality ammo, it isn't a worthy wearer of the SIG P210 name. Thanks for keeping us posted.
