I'm beyond incensed. Can I say pissed in this forum? How about pi$$ed?

After six weeks (six weeks!) My P320RX and sub-compact conversion kit were released from prison in New Hampshire and returned to me. As I anticipated, Sig sent a new grip module WITH RAIL! I called and was told that's all they have now but they will place a (back)order for me for a non-railed SC grip. No idea when, or if, they will ever be produced. My custom holster will not accept a rail, so I am screwed. I asked about getting my original grip back. No dice. First I was told they were all crushed, then told all new grips have the extended beavertail as part of the drop-fire fix.

I was tempted to unload on the CS rep, but it's not her fault. Management at Sig has screwed this up as best they could and will pat themselves on the back for doing a great job.

I have yet another P320 - this one a compact with manual safety. Guess whether or not I am sending this to Sig for the mod. NFW!

I also have a P938 and a P238. All Sigs bought in the last year.

I thought the company had the game together, but was I ever wrong.

Sig Sauer is now on my 'DO NOT BUY" list - forever!

Were they just exchanging the sc modules? My compact is the same module I sent in. It’s a gen 1 with a distinctive scuff on one side so I would know.

See if you can find an email address for somebody at the top. I'll bet they'd make it right for you.

Just this afternoon I got a call from a different gun company about a gun that's been back to them three times. What they've agreed to do to satisfy me is far beyond what I could have expected.

That is a shame.

Consider writing them a (professionally worded) letter explaining your issue and add in the link to this thread? Let them know that, though you were a fan, and had bought several Sigs in a single year, and had trusted them to do the fix, the result was not to your liking, you;re out the use of an expensive custome holster, you won't send the other(s) in for the "voluntary upgrade" (which means a potentially unsafe firearm with their name on it is out there), you won't buy another Sig because of all this, and -perhaps most importantly - you're telling your friends about your negative experience on the web.

Probably a f@?t in a windstorm, but might get their attention since you're spreading the bad word...

I only buy the classic Sigs. All the new ones suck donkeys, including the 320 in any form.

I would suggest the very professionally worded letter, not an email, a letter that you print and mail, but no threats, stick with how much you’ve enjoyed their products, what you’ve purchased, and how disappointed you are that they made changes that they had agreed not to. Fine to mention the holster that no longer fits any gun. If you know what you want to make things right, tell him or her, but if you leave it open he may surprise you. The idea is to be reasonably unhappy and disappointed so he’ll want to win you back. If there is no winning you back, then why would he do anything?

Good advice @JimB. That's pretty much the approach I used. It got me more than I could have ever hoped for.

I was so excited when I got a 320. I had heard so many good things about it. All that excitement faded real quick when it turned out to be a piece of crap. Sold it, real quick and did not miss it.

I have had really good luck with Sig as a company and with their support. I would suggest doing as JimB said, write them a letter.

I've had to send 3 different Sigs back to Exeter. They all came back fixed. I sold one and have kept the other 2 because I have an application and need for them that no other gun seems to fill. I really like their DAO guns. As a company, they are too big and going in too many different directions to suit me.

Sig ain’t what it used to be. Today it’s cheaper to sell crap and fix it later to keep stockholders happy THAN to spend the time and $ to develop a proper item before moving any units and make stockholders nervous.

Thanks for the support and advice. A business letter to an upper level exec makes a lot of sense. However, now that my blood pressure is under control, and a member of another forum offered to swap grips, I'm just going to let it go.

It continues to confound me how they messed up the P320 'upgrade' program so badly, pissed off a bunch of customers with their '2 mags and a bag' promotion and got rave reviews for quality and customer service in the current American Rifleman magazine - all in one month.

If we bought a page in American Rifleman they’d say nice things about us too....:)

So sad. I love my P239 but it is about 19 years old and maybe they did things different back then. Also have been happy with my M400 but now would be reluctant to purchase any newer Sigs.

I never understood the new policy of putting rails on all their pistols, with the exception of the compact models. Not everyone wants rails on everything. And I really dislike their line of polymer guns.

To each his or her own. My P320 is my favorite pistol, reliable and accurate. I put in a Grays Guns trigger upgrade, so I have no intention of sending it back to Sig for the fix. I plan on not dropping it. :p
