Sig Talk forum

Sig knows how to take care of customers, even if you got it used.
They replaced the sear and trigger bar on my P229 police trade, I just paid for the shipping.
I dropped the box off at FedEx hub. Got it back in two days.:)

I agree. I got one of the early model 238's. It was priced very high, 650$ if i recall correctly. when i got home it only had 1 mag with it. Id heard that that was there standard practice and maybe i was just frustrated with myself about the price i just paid for a 380, but i wrote them an email saying that i was a long time supporter and that i felt it was cheap of them to not include 2 mags with a new 650$ gun. Especially since the spare mags were 40$ for a 6 rounder. the next week i received a package in the mail with a thank you for supporting us letter, a spare mag new in package, and a coupon for 20% off another one. I was very impressed that they not only heard my complaint, but took measures to make me happy.

I read through all these 'my [insert gun here] malfunctioned' threads and I cannot help but feel blessed.
I have never had a factory gun fail to function as designed.
Sure, Ive had aftermarket barrels out of spec, messed up some shade tree smithin here and there, had a bad lot of ammo once...but never had a factory gun give me trouble.

Knock on wood.

OP, I have no doubts Sig will get you straightened out and you'll enjoy that M11 when they do.

My first brand-new, LGS-purchased Glock 19 effed up. Took it out, oiled, took it to the range. Shot 1: BLAM! BUT...slide only went forward about 1/3 the way. I take slide off, oil it again (thinking it was dry), shoot it...BLAM! Slide 'stuck' at same place. The slide rails were slightly out of spec. Glock made it right.

Every company puts out a turd every now and then. I am OK with that. They are machines. How CS responds is the key, and those guys were awesome.

Sig guys can be terrible. They just about ruined Sigs for me. I got banned from one of the Sig forums back in the day over nothing.

I only like the old Sigs. Love my W. German P228. I did get a P365 recently and it’s so far so good.

Yeah, I started to really piss them off and tell them that I only carry Wilson Combats now! And that’s partially true. I shoot it a lot but don’t carry that big thing!

I'd agree with this...but also add that it's not just limited to Sig. The same can be said for the hardcore Glock or HK or 1911 fanboys, too.
Most all the major platforms have their militant fanboys. And all of them are annoying.

I had a very similar experience on the M4Carbine forums over a Colt. They went ballistic but, it comes with every brand.

This is just not true. Us CZ fanboys abhor militant-ness. It's distasteful.

I would go as far to say it is rare for a malfunctioning gun to make it out of the factory of a very reputable firearms manufacturer.
This not only made it out of the factory, it was a complete and total dud! I got it with the intent to use it for EDC, but that didn't work out. But, great news! Sig is replacing the dud with a new one! New mags and all! I guess I should have sent it in sooner instead of gripping about it and throwing it in the safe all this time! Truth is, I just never remembered to mess with it.

I am willing to bet based on the serial number and it production date they knew it was a dud. I would bet money yours is not the only dog from that litter that does not hunt. Glad it turned out positive for you.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking when I got the return e-mail this morning. That was way too fast a turn a round! I don't even know if they shot it!

Yeah they looked at the serial number range saw it was a Friday 4:00 PM gun from a known batch and said send him a new one. LOL
