Sight Selection with Mike Pannone

I too have moved away from night sights. I much prefer a fiber optic or a gold bead front with a plain black rear.

Surefire funded guy advocating a flashlight and no night sights. This is not surprising. Probably more than one way to function at night.
 
I like my night sights when shooting in the evening. Really extends shooting time. :)

I am a fan of night sights, and I hear the arguement he made againest NS's often. It is a valid point that the target needs to be identified, but there are also cases were the target has been ID'd but no longer in good light. I'd rather have and not need.

Mike Pannone is a pretty sharp cat. It's interesting to watch him shoot from the right side dominant while using his left eye, having lost his right eye.

Pretty tough amount of training & acclimation to get used to life and shooting with just the one eye that is on the support side.

I find it curious though if he loves the rds why not a laser for true threat focus? On top of that you dont have to worry about what he says not seeing any dot with a poor draw under stress.
