I'll make this quick.
Years ago I put a 12v adapter on my 1125R, but just ziptied it up by the left side mirror.
Last time I rode it, the 18th of July, I was looking at it and didnt like it. Didnt like how it was straining on the wires, how it was rubbing on the magnesium fairing bracket.

So that night I got home and started to make a solution.
Then I remembered I bought a Kydex kit from @DCGallim
So I got one of his scrap pieces of kydex, used the toaster oven - heated it up, got it pretty flat.

Cardboard cutout to get my basic design and sizing. Off to work I went.
I didnt get a chance to finish that night, it was late, and a day later Im jetsetting off to Toronto.
Well I plan to ride to practice tonight so I needed to put front fairing back on - took the heat gun, got the 90* angle on it. Dremel'd out the hole to fit and back on it went.

It aint perfect, but neither am I.
It works for what I want and Im pleased with MY solution.

Oh, and this is the only 'mod' on my motorcycle. It's all stock except for this 12v cigarette lighter adapter...and it's a great mod. Nice to have a way to plug up a GPS or phone charger on long weekends on the bike to go camping etc
So handy.

Looks good. I think you can take it to the next level by sanding all edges and painting black. That bike deserves it!

Never owned a Buell but I love them so much. Especially the 1125 and later ones.

Yeah, the dremel to round off edges would clean it up.
As for black - I could...or, if I really wanted to, just use black kydex for another one...Ive got about TWO DOZEN square feet of the stuff, this part is only about 4" long, 1.5 tall at it's highest.
So, I might make another, prettier example next time Im bored in the garage.

As for the Buells...I love them. Three owned currently, only Ive had since 2000 or 01, I forget, but thinking late 2000.
I have 2 1125R, one pictured, the other is stripped down of all plastics and it's a project bike I need to get fired up (need a battery for it!).

I like Buells not just for the power (146 aint shabby) and style, but also they're a bit unique.
If you look at my fleet of vehicles Ive had, I've had some oddball things, things you dont see often.
Which is also why Im wanting to get back into MR2 with a, possible, upcoming purchase. It's a bit rare for a turbo MR2 these days
