Simple (dumb) question

I just got 4 single point mounting back plates. Put them on 4 different AR pistols. You can connect the sling to either side. The question that I have being a right handed shooter and have a handgun on my right hip.
Would you sling the AR over your right shoulder/under your left arm and let it hang on your left side?
That seems like the right way to keep it out of the way of your handgun.

Without a gun on the hip, hanging on the right hand side seems better.

Never carried an AR carbine or pistol before.

My dumb answer would be I have mine slung on my right side because my pistol is between 5 and 6 o'clock.

I sling mine over right shoulder and under left arm and carry rifle across chest. Like this:

Edit: I do prefer my rear over the stock on outside though.
