Slide crack on my 2011 frame

Ups tracking says the pistol was signed for at STI on the 5th. I called today to see if I could get an update. They are supposed to call me back. The receptionist says that they are backed up.

I shipped a gun back to them for a crack in the slide... they had it over a month before sending me a replacement that I am 99% sure was a refurb.
 
So, I woke up early this morning and tore the gun down so I could start fitting the steel grip. There was no fitting needed, it slid right on. I did spend quite a bit of time fitting the new svi trigger. I also had to remove a lot of material on the magwell and new main spring housing to get all that to fit correctly. I just finished painting it all and have it in the oven right now. As soon as its done in the oven, I will polish the trigger until it's like warm butter smooth then put it all back together. I will be heading to the range to waste about 500-800 rounds breaking it in.
