slide stuck closed (Sig P365)

No it's a "mute" point. Shot fired, slide cycled, round ejected. We can all shut up and post cartoons sing "Imagine" together, in perfect harmony.

i did not use a suppressor and it was not a subsonic round...it was definitely not muted in any way

I know it's resolved now, but I've had this issue a few times with older reloads. I tend to to grab the top of the slide with my left hand (like I'm about to rack the slide) then strike back of the frame with the crease of my right hand (almost like I'm trying to grip the gun). Doesn't take much force and I've always gotten the round to eject.

No way I would ever fire a gun that was jammed up. Good way to get someone seriously injured no way to know what is jammed in it or why. Best bet is to put the slide against something hard like a vice and tap on the frame with a deadblow and knock it open. Done it many times with no injuries or damage to the firearm.

I tried this, but probably didn't "strike" enough ie hard and fast vs. hard and slow.

I also tried the slide on a wood surface with force on the grip with no luck.

I had one that a guy brought buy and I had to hit it hard with a 5lb deadblow to get it open. He did not know if it was loaded. Was an idiot. A mirror and a light and I could see a bullet nose in the barrel.
