I'm sure this has been asked 1k times, I did search and didn't see much.

I think I have a Blue Force on my Barnes rifle. I have others without slings but this AR pistol is going to be my truck gun/get home gun and I think it should probably have a sling.

Blue Force is damn expensive for what it is and if that is how I should go, then so be it but I wanted to ask what you guys are running and your suggestions for a 10.5" AR pistol.

Thanks!

I quickly found out that neither a BFG nor a VTAC works well for me on my PCC. They're both rigged for carbine/rifle dimensions, and are way too much (in more ways than one) for my 5" barreled 9mm PSA pistol.

That's just my personal experience. YMMV.

Did you ever work out a good alternative?

Not yet. I'm actually considering a vintage GI web sling. We'll see.

Blue Force as you already know is one of the best known and has great versatility. I have two. I’m considering it for a hunting shotgun to aid in field carry and barrel stabilization.

I have a Blueforce single point for PCCs, on ARs I use a viking tactics (adjustable) type two point sling, I also have a two point sling that has hk style hooks.

I went with the Vtac. I have Vtac's upgraded on my other rifles and I like them so I figured I'd just stick with it.

It's still a little longish and I'm working on getting some more adjustment out of it but will work the way it is.

I am a fan of the Magpul MS3/MS4. Quickly converts from 1 to 2 point sling. Admittedly, it was the first sling I bought and I liked it so much that I have just stuck with them over the years.

A friend has a Springfield Saint Edge pistol and added a QD mount to the handguard, so it can be carried in single or dual point configuration as needed.

There’s a guy on Instagram called Urban Combat Developements. He makes some pretty nice super lightweight 2point slings. They have a nice stowaway band feature and adjustable like a vickers.
They are affordable and I’ve got two for lightweight SBRs. Really like them so far.
check him out if you are on Instagram.
I think I paid 40-45 and that came with good swivels.

At that size, go single point. I run 2-points on all my guns but the CZ Scorpion. On that braced pistol I run a Tac Shield CQB 1-Point Sling.

Thanks, I'm going to give that a try.

On my carbines I run a Blue Force 2-point sling. On my pistols I run a 1-point Blackhawk sling (because it's what I got first, and it was cheap and available at Walmart before Walmart stopped selling pistol ammo). I could in theory use the Blue Force 2-point sling as a 1-point if I had a need to do so, but may as well use the Blackhawk for that while I have it. :)

If your not stuck on brands look on amazon. They have a copy of the magpul 1/2 point sling for a low price. First 2 I bought had magpul on the d ring connector.

So you enjoy supporting counterfeit products? MAGPUL helps support at least 200 jobs in this state, if not more. Between the retail store that sells MAGPUL to the distribution centers who supply them.

Seems like not a big deal buying counterfeit until it is.

If you are in a tight budget, Botach.com has KZ USA made slings.
Edit: Friday shop the eBay store and get10% off.

Wow. So I buy something off of amazon and find that it has a particular name on it and now I'm supporting china. Guess how many of the vet owned companies are selling products produced overseas! I simply said their are alternatives. If you don't like it fine. But don't imply that I'm unpatriotic for saving money! I suppose you never buy anything made off shore.

Bad deflect not going to work. Your words are:

"They have a copy of the magpul 1/2 point sling for a low price."

I really don't care what anyone buys, per-say. I only point out when people choose to steal "the counterfeiter" and support the theft "the buyer of counterfeit goods", then try to cover it up by deflecting about vet owned companies, patriotic actions blah, blah, blah. Where as these two subjects - Vet owned business and patriotic actions - have nothing to do with a persons lack of economic and Intellectual Property foundational understanding. So with all that, enjoy your fake MagPul Sling.

I will. It did not say magpul on the ad an amazon. Perhaps they bought some leftover magpul connectors. Not sure but it was a good deal for my needs. If they are knocking off a patented product, magpul needs to seek remedy from the producers.
Perhaps I should have suggested that there are less expensive alternatives available. My bad. But I do realize from some of your other post that you are an elitist in the gun games and I am just a lowly enthusiast.

I bought a couple a month ago. They are decent quality. Cheaper at Botach for the ones with QD swivels included.
