Small rifle primer

Will AR match grade primers for small rifle work on 40 cal. I saw a thread that small rifle will work as they are the same size

Yes, you might have to slightly adjust your powder load if your anal but I wouldn’t even bother myself.

I've shot 9mm and .38/.357 with no problems using small rifle primers

I've shot over 5000 CCI SRP loaded in my 9mm load in the last 3 months. You will get a small bump in velocity, and the cup is higher or harder(depending on the maker); otherwise you're good to go. If your load is close to max...consider bumping back your load a tad and working up prop

One caveat...S&B SRP are really hard, and should be used only for rifle.
