What are youse guys using?

I have been using the fit bits for a while and cracked the screen on my Surge and had to epoxy the band back on.

Looking at the Samsung Gear, Fitbit Blaze or Ionic or should I hold out for the Iwatch?

Pros and cons please.

My personal opinion, anything but a Garmin specifically designed with running in mind is a waste, but I also don't use them for anything other than mapping runs/distance/time, etc.

So with that said, the moderately priced Garmin Forerunner 235 would have my vote. I don't buy into the whole "steps" thing, and Samsung/Apple are pretty much designed for tech junkies.

I just ride my measured route and record how long it takes. A regular watch works fine.

I use a fitbit charge 2 now - but would love a Garmin Fenix!, but may settle for a fitbit iconic due to the price difference. I want a GPS, not one that just links to a smart phone.

I picked up Gear s2. It does everything I want and more. I could even make phone calls from it if I forgot my phone. The only thing I don't like is the battery life, I haven't been able to go much more than a day between charges though they say it lasts 2 to 2 1/2 days.

I wanted a watch that was waterproof and slim enough I can wear it all the time. I ended up loving the Garmin vivosmart HR.

The downside of the waterproof model is that the battery is not replacable, so when the battery died I had to buy a new watch.

I saw a guy at the pool the other day with one like that. I know they don't last forever but I'm averse to throwing one out because the battery died.

I generally like my Apple Watch quite a bit. Granted I am solidly in the Apple ecosystem through my work like.

At first I bought the Garmin Vivoactive 3 which worked well, but I exchanged it for the Apple Watch after a couple weeks strictly for the integration with my other stuff.

Garmin Fenix 5X. The Apple and Samsung watches would not survive one swim under the conditions in China. Those glass domes are the first thing to smash. Only Garmin is rugged enough to stand up the lane ropes on one side of the lane and tile wall on the other. Not a scratch on the sapphire glass. But some scratches in the metal housing.
I'll never buy another "just a watch."

Bite the bullet and get the Fenix. It is worth every penny. I have not regretted spending the money to get my Fenix 5x. As much as I swim, this is awesome.

I looked it up and dayum, That's what James Bond would wear if he wasn't on a Government salary.

I settled on a used Samsung Gear s2, except for not being swim compatible it does what I need... I mean no topographical maps or anything but...

I'm one of those tracker skeptics for the most part. Particularly the ones that aren't waterproof.
I jumped right into the deep end of the tracker pool. :D

The Fenix 3X was approved as a survival watch for navy pilots.

You gotta love a watch that can si this.
