Snowed in and I do mean snow

About 5inches in Glenwood (McDowell county) but my parents have been without power or heat since 9:30 Saturday morning. Luckily I was visiting so I have them (us) in a motel where they are warm, but very bored.

No such thing as an "ex-yankee"
CF

That's debatable. Some of us may have come from yankee states, but will never go back to those polluted, backward (& too effing cold) places, have enthusiastically embraced the South & its ways & our bones will be interred in southern soil.

True yankees, tho, ain't no help for them.

I saw something I haven't seen since I came to SC.

Snowmen. Five to be exact.

At least I think they were snowmen, I didn't stop to ask how they identified when they woke up this morning.

I also got to use my 4WD for the first time.

:)

Got about 3" or so in Hickory and it was enough to finish off some of the things the tornado up here started. We lost power about 11 pm and didn't get it back till noon Sat. Then shortly after that the internet went out until this afternoon. Interesting couple days. Roads stayed clear so didn't get to try out the 4 wheel drive.
