I thought about not shooting my T/C ML before taking it hunting and then decided, what the heck. I am glad I did! I had 3 of 4 ring screw heads broken. I have never had something like that happen in 45 years of hunting. I don't recall any specs on the 15+ year old rings. As far as I know, they have been intact even through last year when I took a nice buck. Since I chucked the old rings, I decided to add an optic with my new rings. I added a Riton 1 Primal 4-16X44 MOA reticle. I chose the MOA reticle so that I could dial in my ballistic data and have better distance aiming points. We all know that getting a clear sight picture is important because once you pull that trigger, you can't see a thing until the smoke clears.

Always good to check your zero before the season starts!

I couldn't tell you how many times my rifle has fallen over. It always seems to happen when I find the perfect log in the woods to hold my tp while I take a quick squat. You never know when one bump was one too many

Agreed! Lucky we have nice weather, otherwise it would have been easy to talk myself out of going to the range. It seems very odd that 3 of 4 screw heads would break off. Always something!

Let us know how that Riton scope performs. Been interested in them myself.

I am up to more than five now, if that is an indicator. I am impressed with the quality features and price. I have 1 Tactix ARDs on PCC and 5 Primal 2-12X44 on my wife's deer rifle. I had a few guys who said neg things about them, but they had zero actual time behind one. They have an excellent LE/Mil/First Responder Program too.
