So, I found an anime that even non anime fans would watch.

Summer Time Rendering.

A young boy was orphaned, and taken in by a single father and two daughters on an island in Japan. When he gets to High School, he travels to Tokyo to attend school. Two years into his time, one of the sisters dies, and he goes back to the island for the funeral.

Then, it turns into a bloody mix of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Groundhog Day. A tense murder mystery with time loops. It's begging to be turned into a live-action tv show on Netflix or something.

I highly recommend.

Is it as good as Naoki Urasawa’s Monster? That’s usually my go-to anime recommendation for non-anime fans. Not to mention it’s classic gun-play.
