I've aquired a couple hundred lbs over the past 3 years. I no longer search for it, but if I happen to see some cheap I get it. A little bit goes a long way. Just a few oz needed in a 20lb pot. Some people use pewter/tin as a hardener. That's a waste of pewter honestly. Antimony is much better for that. Tin is best used in small amounts to improve flow and maluability for something like cast hollowpoints. I never put more than 2-3% tin in my normal casting alloy. So don't worry if you don't find much. A few peices will last you through several pots of lead.
