So you don’t think they will come for your guns?

The real way they are "going for the guns" is by alienating gun owners as not part of "main stream Americana". Gun sales may be on the rise, but individual gun owners isn't matching the same count. 100 years ago, a house without a gun was an anomaly. 50 years ago a house without a gun was unusual. Today a house with a gun is unstylish. 10 years from now a house with a gun will be unusual. 20 years from now a house with a gun will be an anomaly.

They are, and have been, coming after the future gun owners. Making it more difficult for new shooters to have places to go, new places to hunt, new places to shoot. They wont need to go door to door. They will wait till more of us die off through natural causes and then our great grand kids will turn them in to the police because they don't want these strange things around. Your kids may not. Mine may not. But we all know someone who has zero interest in firearms who have been given some through an inheritance that would rather pawn them off or give them away for a Target gift card than actually hold on to them.

My wife keeps saying they (Dems like Dianne Frankenstein and Nanci Peloosi) will never take away any gun rights or come for your guns. What she doesnt understand is that is the only thing keeping those 2 hags alive...the drive to take away our rights and our guns.

Bingo, gringo.

Even with some perceived or self-proclaimed “gun people,” I’m made to feel unwelcome and odd when they find out I carry. Heaven forbid they find out I may own an evil black rifle (neither confirming nor denying, for the record!).

We are being made to not fit the mold any longer.

If the opposition was of a violent type, I’d genuinely be scared. Thankfully, for the time being at least, I’d wager that I can be more ferocious when/if provoked.

Post here that you open carry and some will make you feel unwelcome and odd.

Heck, even my own father, who taught me how to shoot, owns a nice collection in his own right, messaged me one night to ask if open carry was legal. He ended up mentioned about how he didn't like it and it made him uncomfortable. Trying to keep it respectful, as it was my own father, I basically had to say "At least I know about his. I probably outgun him anyhow, and he wont know about mine."

Like I have said, if you make something main stream, then overtime the "righteous" are made into the bad guys. If you ask some, I am literally the most evil person in the country, was even called a Nazi this past weekend. My crime? Saying "Keep up the good work." in a post on facebook in regards to a politician I know personally. I am a straight, white, male, Christian, conservative, who is a married heterosexual in a committed monogamous marriage. I have a full time job, a college degree, work for a bank. Have three kids who are raised in church, public school, have been vaccinated and are dressed and encouraged along natural gender parameters. I love God, guns, my family, and my nations history. And I, my friends, am a Nazi.

Worst Nazi ever...but here we are.

Most mainstream lefties like forced vaccinations, so he has one thing going for him.

On a side note, for those who Open carry,, hats off and keep up the fight. The Lib's don't care what you think when it comes to there agenda. Look at all the same sex couples you now see in commercials.

I have this wonderful ability that has come with my aging to not care what people think of me and only care for what I think of myself. I love myself. Frick anyone who doesn't like me for whatever reason be it I love guns or my country. I do not care , well off to go love myself some more.

To me, that is the description of the All American male. Keep up the good work.

Look at the average age of people at the range. Bet many are north of 40 at least and north of 50 is probably more accurate. We may be buying guns and more guns but most young people aren't. Get a young person interested in firearms and shooting if you want the right to keep and bear arms to be maintained.

Nope, but they’ll make an example of plenty
Turn about will be fair play. Speaking of gun buying by older people, to paraphrase a former member, “I’m old and fat and my knees aren’t so good, I’m not going to be running around fighting with you when things go south. However, what I can do effectively is hide in the woods and quietly snipe you from a distance.”

There are some here who get all giddy when there is a posting about cops face planting people and other physical abuses. They’re human too and have limits of their pain compliance threshold as well. Be careful what you wish for.

The govt. wants everyone to believe it’s all badass and does a good job talking it up. It’s agents are full of swagger and swing their dicks with a compliant populace. Once it’s support system is removed, that will change really fast.

Plenty of jobs in recon, aid and support. ;)

By consent of the governed.

New Orleans, 2005 post Katrina for a large scale example.

Outside of that, never discount the impact a determined individual can make in disrupting a culture of control.

Red-flag law in Maryland led to gun seizures from 148 people in first three months. Who are the police doing these unconstitutional seizures? They are the local cops that we keep being told would never take our guns. When are the rank and file police going to start thinking for them selves? What level of gun seizure is too much for the rank and file cops?

Don’t you know this answer? Have you not heard the LEO phrase, “the law is the law buddy?”

Isn't that the same as "orders are orders" used by the people that ran death camps....
It is. Older LEO understand the role of the position. The new breed walk around terrified. It’s either fall in line or they yell “he’s got a gun.” We know what happens after that.

I have a friend who is a retired CSI officer. I have known him throughout his career of 34 years. He started as a patrol officer and advanced through the ranks. His famous quote among locals is " I have worked my entire life to temper the Law with Justice". Sadly, he and the few like him are dwindling at a great rate.

I don't think we will ever see a wide spread seizure of guns. What I do think we will see is what we are watching happen right now. As mentioned already gun owners are now viewed as strange and arguably stupid people who uneducated so they hold onto their guns. Intelligent people know that we don't need guns in modern society. Isn't that what most young people are hearing these days?
Couple that with all the legal changes we're seeing recently. They may not be nation wide but they're happening in the liberal areas such as California, Maryland, PA is pushing some stupid ones right now. So these individual states make changes and get their people used to those ideas. Then you get special opportunities such as Katrina as shown in the video where our wonderful government gets to push a little harder and here's the big part, gauge the response of the public. They learn how hard/fast they can move to reach their goals. Let these things filter out for a few years and before long you've primed all of America to give up their rights to semi automatics....shortly after, any repeater and eventually all guns.
Do I think they will go door to door and forcibly take firearms? Possibly but not on a massive, nation wide scale, on more of a community level if at all. Most people will not be willing or organized enough to make a stand. They would rather give up their AR15 to keep their happy lifestyle and stay with their family then engage in an actual fight. Most will be in no physical condition to do so either.

You're absolutely right in the X ring with that comment.

That’s because at the range I go to they hog the lane and fire off a round every 10-15 minutes. I’m not going to sit around waiting for a lane to open up. Usually they just stare at me like I don’t belong there. Probably thinking in their head how I’m a dumb millennial that isn’t good for anything. It reminds me of going to a high end golf club where the old guys will most likely never respect you.

And this is a different truth about human nature in our own time as it is throughout human history? It always falls to an irate and dedicated minority of men who, through inspiration or guilt, push the mass of humanity in one direction or the other.

“In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.” ~Mark Twain

Those looking for a sudden uprising will be disappointed-as it is a series of events, a long train of abuses which shapes perceptions and the public mood.

It’s unpopular legislation, excessive taxation, widespread corruption, and violence against the People at large that leads to resistance-initially by a relatively small group of people in the location most affected, whose ideas grow far beyond that area, and the attempts to suppress such growth that leads to widespread unrest.

So yes, most would, when pushed, probably turn them in (although compliance rates in New York, Colorado, and Washington add enough doubt that the result may be pleasantly surprising).

But even if 99% of gun owners bend the knee and voluntarily accept the yoke of slavery, a 1% refusal rate is still around 1,250,000 people or so. It’s a sizeable Army that our government, with all the drones and tanks and troops and police officers, couldn’t hope to defeat.

The math is simply astounding in both its simplicity and its most likely outcome.

You are definitely going to the wrong range!

Moron Lobby!

Unfortunately I can’t afford to join a private range, and the fact that I don’t want to support the traitorous NRA means they wouldn’t let me anyways.

I am truly blessed to have a back yard range.

If I could afford it, I would join Frontline Defense for the facilities, but I can work my handgun (and to a lesser extent rifle and shotgun) skills right here at home.

I envy the people with the property to shoot. I’m working my way towards that goal eventually.
