Something going on near the house

Started hearing a helicopter flying near the house about 1:00. Went out and it is circling over my pasture and up to the intersection above my house., tight circle maybe 1/4 mile diameter. They have made about 40 circles so far. Had one Kannapolis city police car come screaming by and then shut off his siren. Not sure what is happening, but the doors are locked and everything is close at hand and ready if the $hit starts to go down.

Blue helicopter with big yellow letters POLICE and a badge on the side. It might be from Charlotte, since none of the agencies here local have a helicopter.
 
Probably a manhunt.
 
They’ll stay the hell away from your house and those dogs if they know what’s good for em(whoever they’re looking for I mean)
 
Talked to a neighbor, that talked to someone else, that said they had a guy on the ground in handcuffs and guns drawn on him at the store above the house. Still can't find anything about it on any of the local news stations. Used to have a deputy sheriff across the street, but he retired and moved toward Salisbury, that I could call and find out stuff.

You haven't met Jax our current male. He is not quite as big as Bobo was, but he makes up for it with attitude. He would have enjoyed a fresh snack. Even though he is contained in the pasture, most of the delivery folks are hesitant about getting out of their vehicles. He is very good at his job as livestock guard dog and takes it very seriously, but once we introduce someone to him and he sniffs them, he walks off like they are old news. I had to put up "Dog Will Bite" signs all around the pasture.

You could've loaded up that big stone you're carrying and knocked them down with it on a good push.
 
Would a police scanner have shed some light on the details? Or they use encrypted channels now?

Or maybe roll out a tarp with a sign ”restroom & coffee available”
 
Went out to dinner and ran into another neighbor who had not heard about the excitement. Their son was with them and he called a buddy of his who is a Cabarrus Co. deputy. Said all he knew was it was something to do with a stolen truck. I suspect the helicopter had followed the stolen vehicle from Charlotte.

So I guess we know what was going on now.

As a guy who frequently has military choppers hovering and flying overhead, i've often thought about taking some gutter heaters / heat tape and drawing pictures on my roof to entertain them on FLIR
"uh... are you guys getting this? it appears that house is lit up like a giant penis on the IR cams"
