Sorta commie I think.. Right?

If it has the PTR receiver you should be gtg.

PTR is the only company I know of that bought the blue prints and machines from H&K and they churn out weapons as close to the G3 as you can get (minus the full auto selection).

Where PTR made their mistake was down the road they decided it would be a good idea to make a tighter chamber for accuracy, deviating from the original design. The result was a weapon that was more accurate but unreliable with dirty Ammo.

But you can tell by the serial number if you have one of those.

Just be careful with the Century Arms rifles. $400 is about the going rate for a century version which is half of what a PTR version costs and there’s a reason for it. Century is infamous for poor assembly techniques.

Hope you got a good one. They’re great rifles.

Maybe some of the metal originated in East Germany, when that was still a place?

I don't think so.

For the record, I was being tongue in cheek. Now if this was a photo of an MPiKM, then Matthew would definitely be in the correct place.

Interestingly enough, this dialogue spurred all because I was just looking for an excuse to put this in the AK section because...

Connecticut's kinda commie. Gun laws are draconian anyway.

I think this qualifies only if the reciever was built before the move to SC.

Brother, in a society where you're free to be whoever you want depending on how you feel while disregarding all science and logic in the process ... I say:
