On Netflix.

I happened to be browsing movies this past week and happened to catch this. I would call it a mix of Blackhawk Down and Poltergeist. Premise: Rangers and Delta are in Moldova to assist the local gov with insurgents when they come under attack by what appears to be lethal supernatural entities that are unstoppable.

Good action and SFX. You'll recognize the main actors as ones that seem to play military types over and over again. I would rate it 3.5 beers out of 5.

Love your rating system..
I agree, BHD with Poltergeist...

Best scene, to me, was with Gonzalo Menendez (Delta with the goatee) runs out grabs the AT4 and just yells to the scientist “where?” And fires at the “ghost”
That scene was badass

Watched it...wasn't bad, good military scifi

Speaking of military sci-fi, I'm waiting for a big (or little screen) adaptation of a post that began on Reddit and slowly grew into something that could be awesome: "Rome, Sweet, Rome." Modern day Marine MEU battalion gets sent back in time to the age of the Roman Empire. Could they defeat the Roman military and change history?

That actually looks like it has potential. Thanks for the heads up!

Netflix has some good series, but their movies suck. I haven't watched this one, but if it's like the ones I've seen, the plot was written in a couple of hours and has more holes than swiss cheese. Yes, pretty much any movie has plot holes, but when they are so numerous and large that they become a distraction, they can ruin a movie.

They have to keep cranking out content to justify the subscriptions, but that doesn't mean the content has to be good. The series are much larger commitments and could run multiple years, so it seems they put their best talent on that.

What did you think of it?
I don't have Netflix, so I haven't seen it yet. I'm going to have to look around and see if I can dig up a copy somewhere else.

I read they bought this movie after it was dumped from the theaters at the last minute by the studio.

FINALLY found a copy online and it's downloading now. Hopefully I'll have a chance to watch it this weekend.

Got to watch it tonight. I thought it was a solid little movie. Won't be winning any awards, but still enjoyable. But I'm convinced that the main star is Kirk Cameron's bastard child. He has to be, the guy looks like a freakin clone.
