I an older Speer Manual (#12) and was going to reload some 30 cal bullets (308). When looking up the data in the manual and comparing it with data on the Hodgdon website, there is a big different in min and max loads.

The 2 bullets I am looking at are:
30 cal Grand Slam
30 cal BT Spitz - SP

The powders that I am looking to use is:
Speer: H335 42.0 to 43 Hodgdon: 41.0 to 44.0
Speer: H4350 45.0 to 4590c Hodgdon: No Data
Speer: 748 45.0 to 50.0 Hodgdon: Max 48.5
Speer: Varget No Data Hodgdon: 44.0 to 47.0c
If you have a current Speer Manual, please post/IM the min and max load data for those bullets. I never use Speer bullets. These were bought years ago.

Pretty much every powder maker and every bullet maker besides Hornady is providing data online. Guess most know I won't buy their new products if I have to get a manual to use them.
It used to be that the bullet manufacturers did not put their data online, Speer just started doing it in the last couple of years. I believe Nosler does as well.

There is a partnership of sorts between Alliant and Speer, I believe Alliant works up the load data for Speer. If you happen to be using Alliant powder with Speer bullets, then you could also get the load data from Alliant - the data I have checked are identical between the two, down to the velocities listed.
