I am going to be up front here, this is a cheap holster from FB ($45) to try this style of holster out, before dropping $120+ on a T1C. I am not comparing this to a TRex Sidecar, T1C, or any other high end holster.

I got it for my M&P9 2.0, and I have a Hyve mag extension on it, which will be in the sidecar position. I have had it for about 3 hours, and spent about 15 minutes with it on (sore after a workout, so just lounging in gym shorts after a shower). No fat guy pics of it on, yet.

It's different than 4:00. Completely. With having more of a front muffin, the push from the belly on the gun and holster was tight. Now, I typically wear my pants on my hips, so I do have to wear them higher. And that made my belt really tight on my back. But I don't think that's a holster thing, just a difference in the positioning, any AIWB holster would do that.

There is no flex in the holster, it's very rigid, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It does need the insole or the wedge at the bottom, for comfort.

It does have a RCS Claw on it, which did help tucking in the grip.

One thing that shows through my shirt is the belly filling around the gun and mag, so I have some funny looking lumps. The gun is well hidden, the fat bubbles are weird.

It will take some time to get used to it, and moving the holster as I stand and sit. I need a new belt, but I needed one anyway.

If I can get this set and figured out, I will order one that's better (really interested in the T1C Axis) and possibly for another gun, wanting to grab a sheild.

I carry appendix using a Sig P365 in a Vedder holster since the mag capacity is 12 + 1 I don’t include a side car. This gun/holster combo works well with shorts & tee shirt, minimum printing. It’s comfortable sitting with no digging in, groin or gut. I removed the claw as it interfered with putting on the holster. I’m not thin, however, my gut doesn’t hang over the belt. The belt I use is a Blue Alpha. So, I’m very pleased with the Sig, holster and belt! Also, I seem to shoot the small gun well, I think it fits my hand and I get a great trigger pull.

Good luck with your rig!

How does one urinate in a public bathroom and still keep everything secure and hidden?
It's a bit awkward at a urinal w/IWB @ 4:00.

That is why I use the Blue Alpha belt, it opens/closes with a click. I unbutton my pants, unzip then pull down my underwear while supporting the gun with my right hand. With the back of the palm supporting the gun and the stiff belt the gun stays in place. It just works and no one sees the gun, not awkward at all.
When I carry I’m a Unicorn!

AIWB definitely takes some getting used to. If your back feels tight, adjust where you're wearing it (height wise) and also how tight your belt is. The first couple of days is normal to feel some soreness in the front, it'll go away once your body gets used to something being there that normally isn't.

I've got the T1C Agis, best holster I've ever used. It does have the flexible center, which is nice, but it's not obnoxious. I have heard people say the Axis has a problem with making a clicking noise when you move sometimes because of the way it connects the two sides.

I have not really had a chance to wear it and having to go, its been a few minutes here and there, just being busy and all. I did notice though that it did sit just above the toolbox so depending on undergarment of choice its a non-issue.

I do need a new belt, still. I do not want a cobra buckle, Im not a big fan of that style buckle, but still looking for something. Was looking at the Wilderness Frequent Flyer and just adjust where the buckle is located, but havent gone any further.

It was definitely a belt tightness issue, but with it higher, more over the belly, and the, erm, overhang if you will, the belt tail ran out of room and any looser then my pants will fall right off. Working to drop the fat off, and that will help with the tightness and overall comfort.

This was an experimental buy, as I am going to grab a small single stack (sheild, pps, etc) and grab an AXIS. By the time I am ready to buy I should be less fat. So far I am liking it, but I am not comfortable with the carry (been 4:00 IWB for years) and will take some time to get used to everything up front.

It also depends on the belt you're using. I've got the Kore Essentials EDC belt, it's comfortable enough but rigid enough to hold everything in place without being crazy tight. I've got one that is "tacticool" with the mesh style, and then one more appropriate for work that's leather, but still has the inner core and works the same way. Love them both.

I use mine with a CZ P-07T with +2 mags, and it just disappears. With a single stack it would conceal so easily with the Axis OR the Agis. Can't miss with those two. Watch a couple of reviews on each though, I went with the Agis because the Axis Slim was so new when I got mine I wanted something tested and proven.

That's what I'm going for. I have no problem carrying a bigger gun, but in places where discretion is a must it does have its downsides. I'm sure a sheild at 4:00 will hide just as well, but other than concealment the draw to AIWB is speed, retention, and easier to access (4:00 while driving sucks, much less having to get to it!)

This holster may still have it's place after the single stack is bought and carried, I prefer a big gun for road trips and all. Or I can go with the AGIS/AXIS as well, Because who doesn't love getting new gear.

I'm planning on after this gym cycle to drop 40 lbs to help with carrying AIWB and just for health reasons.

If my full size with extended mags is completely invisible with just a t-shirt, a single stack would have no problem. I have a Shield 9mm but didn't get an AIWB holster yet just because I figured at the price the bigger gun needed more help concealing, so I went that direction.

If I were you I would lean more towards the AGIS...it's got a slightly wider profile so if you've got some extra body in the front it helps spread it out more. But again, just my .02.

Finally played with it some. And I have lost some weight, so that helped, but I still have the tactical muffin top in the front.

The belly pushes on the gun and holster, but not as bad. I wear my pants at my hips, so I need to raise them. After I did that, it felt better. Will need to change the position of the buckle (this was a quick test).

Sitting wasn't too bad, after I raised my pants.

This is a M&P92.0 and I can conceal it, I'm still going to go with a different gun (either a subcompact or compact version, or a single stack of something) for less depth and better concealment.

Sorry for the dirty mirror, I see it now and wasn't thinking about it when taking pictures

I slide the buckle of the belt around to the left side just in front of my hip bone, lets it pull the gun in a bit more and lowers the profile out of the front that pushes on your shirt and somehow makes it more comfortable, too.
Also, believe it or not, making sure the button of your pants is level behind the belt makes a difference too.

It's the little things really, but once you get used to it you'll forget it's there.

The holster was just shoved in the shorts, and the shorts are a little big, so the button fell down from that. I know I need to turn the buckle, I am actually looking at grabbing a new belt (probably a Wilderness 5 Stitch Frequent Flyer or similar) for profile there. This was only on for about 20 minutes. In the first picture, while its harder to tell with the pattern of the shirt, the magazine is what was poking out, stomach pushing it out.

I really liked it, once I got some of that set. Draw was smooth and fast, compared to 4:00 for me, but will still take some time and practice to draw and all.

I still have about 20-25 lbs to drop, see how I look and feel, and drop some more. Dropping what I have dropped made a huge difference in the feel.

When I get a smaller carry gun, Im probably going to grab a T1C offering for it, now that I know I can use one and be comfortable with it.

You'll make some small adjustments and whatnot that work for you. At first it won't feel natural until you get the feel for it. But I like it and prefer it over just about any other carry option. I'm glad you like it though and I definitely recommend T1C. Quality and fit and comfort is awesome across the board.

I must be shaped differently. If I try to carry there even with a small pistol like the P365 the holster digs into my Private parts when sitting down especially when seated in car..Not a fan of appendix carry.

I've found that some holsters lend themselves to certain body types better than others. Some are a little more forgiving than others, and of course it depends on person and the gun itself too.

I dress to the left, so I position the holster so that the thread protector on the barrel rides the inside of my right thigh when I sit down. It took some getting used to and wasn't all that comfortable for about a week, was even a little sore in my mid-section for a couple days, but no digging of privates here. And that's a CZ P-07...not a small gun by any means.

I almost wish there was a way to try different holsters without spending a small fortune on a bunch that you end up not liking. (Maybe a future business venture...if anyone here does that I want a cut for the idea)

I'm a bigger guy, and most carried in the spare tire position (hence the dropping weight)

It does take some getting used to, and having to do some wardrobe adjustments. I typically wear pants on my hips, but need to come up to the waist. Belt needs to be looser, and have to be careful when I sit as it pushes everything out. Not as noticable with smaller mags, but the one pictures has a +3 I think and it's a difference.

It's worth a try if you can find a holster that would work for you, but turns into several!

I am a smaller guy. 5’8 160. In most instances I have no issue with a g19 in a t-Rex sidecar. I use a fat boy belt with the buckle over my left hip pocket. If I am wearing a slimmer fitting shirt the grip of the weapon can be seen with the sidecar. In which case I can run a bravo concealment closer to 1:30 with the same weapon. The bravo does dig into my hip/thigh more than I would like but as Clint says “a gun should be comforting, not comfortable” lol. I prefer both. So if I have the opportunity to wear a light cover garment and cover the sidecar that’s my 1st choice. Lightweight (t-shirt material) hooded sweatshirt works great in spring and button front like the above photo in summer. Fall is great for heavier plaid button ups and winter I’m wearing a Blackhawk! CCWTech Hoodie about 98% of the time I’m out of the house.

I’ve found if I try, I can dress around the printing. Plaid Patterns help a lot with weird lumps not being as noticeable. Otherwise you can wear other crap on belt to distract onlooker eyes. Leatherman, Apple AirPods pouch, flashlight, etc.

People are much more likely to stare at the little square leather pouch dangling off my weak side that my headphones are in than seeing what “could” be the slightest print of a firearm grip 3” away from my belly button.

Or....you could go with a tactical fanny pack. Just sayin’ misdirection plays a big part.
