Anyone have experience with both the SportLock and Browning O/U cases? I bought four of the SportLocks when they were $79 and am very happy with the value of them. But now they are over $100, and that puts them closer to the price of the Browning case (~$150 online). So the question then is, is the Browning case worth another $50?

The SportLock:

The Browning:

(I know I know, the probability that someone here has actually seen and/or used both of these cases, while non-zero, is very close to zero. But sometimes you get lucky... :) )

IMHO.... The Browning cases are nicer looking and built better and have more options to be configured to suit your individual needs. I have several and they continue to provide excellent service and protection.

You should have asked this yesterday. I could have shown you the 2 side by side.
:)

I do think the Browning is slightly better. I'd pay the extra $50.

The SKB cases are what I travel with, airlines or ground. Those things are bomb proof. If this is still tied to the OP, you never mentioned travel or I would have brought up the SKB's...... But they ain't cheap... I have mine all packed (2 O/U's) and ready for the truck tomorrow headed to Wisconsin...

Huh? It's cheaper than both the Browning and the SportLock.

Ah, guess he didn't click the link before posting. :)

No, I didn't click a link.. The SKB system I have is the Roller Duffel with the case pocket in the bottom and the top is all open for clothing and such. Seems like when I bought it 15/20 years ago it was around 400.00 for the case and duffel...
BUT... it's been "around" and is still in excellent condition. I don't see it listed any longer on their site.
