Any other members in the forum? It is so nice to have someone there that really values the shooting community. I usually go early in the week to avoid SRO. If anyone wants to go let me know. There memberships are more than reasonable.

Correct. And that is very accurate when the school crowds roll in. I am so happy to see them taking an interest.

The Monday after Christmas was wild. All 14 shooting lanes full and the counter area outside the firing line was packed with folks waiting. I packed up and left since I can shoot anytime. I have been going there off and on since the 80s and never saw that many folks in there.

Where is it, what do they have and do they have a website I could visit??

I'm a range whore, I like to shoot everywhere!!

BB, it's a indoor range on Springs Rd near the intersection of Kool Park Rd in Hickory.

I go there periodically but it’s been a while.

Why in the world would you come to this one with Mooresville’s Point Blank closer and much better. Was it the low lighting, taste of lead, and smoke creating a real experience?

Heck I’ll meet you out there sometime. I have not fired a shot in well over a year. Maybe closer to 2 years.

I don’t shoot at point blank. I’ve never once gotten decent service there and the last time I went I was told to not pick up my brass.

Mooresville and hickory are about the same distance for me and at least the people at Springs Road are nice. I really miss Denver Defense.

I also miss Denver Defense. I’ve been to Point Blank a number of times but no issues other than lack of employee interaction with customers (ex: lane assignment, greeting customer, thank you for coming).

Springs Road employees have been fine. Last time there I was coughing hard when I left and could taste the lead. There is a need for improvements but they have zero competition anywhere close and plenty of business. As a business that is a good thing.

There were 2 different groups looking to make a range. Both would have been in Newton. Both locations were approved by zoning and council. One needed to build, while the other was going to use an existing building. Neither materialized.

I never had a problem with ventilation at springs road but it is a dungeon. I typically go to Foothills but since they’re on their winter hours it’s hard for me to get there.
