Spyderco Factory 2nds Sale

Tried. Couldnt get on but. About every fifth try on the website and by then everyt was picked through.
 
Damn. Sold out. Missed that boat. Probably a good thing for my wallet

Tried several times. The only things in stock were ones I already have or the Chinese versions. I was honestly a little disappointed but my wallet isn't hurting today so it balances out.
 
I was able to place an order, although the process was frustrating and I’m not sure worth it. We’ll see when they get here.

In normal years—when it’s in-person—there are nuts wrapped around the building the night before, waiting to get in.

When a friend moved to Denver, I convinced him to go to the sale to try to get us some deals. He got there at like 6am and said the line was worse than anything Disney could put together.

Kinda like the REI sale...not really worth it. I’ll gladly pay full price to avoid the stupidity that is one of these sales.

That said, doing it online seems promising, but I’m not confident an online sales engine could keep up (fairly) with that sort of demand.

I’ve thought about going but crowds like that make me uncomfortable. I much prefer popping in on the weekend and being the only one there and looking at and touching whatever I want.

My wife likes making a morning trip out of it.
 
Knives showed up, after a quick cleaning I’m really happy.
