Been looking a cost effective 12ga. For personal protection that I could stash away without having to open and close the safe every day. No range time but happened to be near FG&G Monday and asked about a used something . After not finding a price I was hoping for the salesman handed me a brand new Stevens Security 320 and immediately jumped on it! It was $160 and some change out the door! Not a Mossberg but will work for what I want.

I had one with the 28" barrel. Pleasantly surprised for the money. I prefer Mossberg 88s for the price point but they didn't have any of those.

I took it to shoot some sporting clays. A piece of metal shaving came off the bolt during the first 25 rounds? Then after that it worked fine and it pumped great, just like the old Winchesters that its based on. I got rid of it because I already had a Maverick, but it wasn't a bad shotgun, especially for the price. From what I understand, they are made in China instead of Turkey: https://www.americanrifleman.org/content/tested-stevens-301-turkey-bottomlands-410-shotgun/

I would test it out with the loads you prefer but it should be great for its intended role, nice find.
