Stevens Model 15

[Waterlogged]

I have a question about this rifle.
I got it quite a while ago.
The kids and fired it a few times then it was cleaned and put up.
Seems like its been a couple years since I fired it.
Looking up info on it and could not find a pic of one with a stock that had any kind of design on it.
Not sure why mine does, maybe previous owner wanted something a little fancier?
Thoughts?
Have I just not dug deep enough?
Not a big deal, just for my own curiousity.
