I have used TruOil many times with good results. Best results were using the spray, putting the jar type is a messy job. Has anyone used Minwax Wipe On Poly? I watched a few videos on YouTube about this product but not one said if it holds up as well as TruOil. The Minwax Wipe On can that it comes in says for household items but does not mention water resistant, as in rain.

Thin regular poly with 50% mineral spirits to make wiping poly. It’ll take more coats, but it’ll be poly so should have good weather resistance.

truoil is roughly half mineral spirits, 30% oil based varnish and 20% linseed or tung oil (I think “boiled” which just means with driers added).
