Sub $1500

This might get more traction in the optics talk section of the forum? I dig thermal stuff but wouldn’t have read the post if I hadn’t accidentally clicked on it.

I didnt see many options in that price range or less when I looked most were still north of 2k and I ended up going back to nv setup because price points were much better.

Atn x-sight 4k pro and it comes with a smaller ir light but switched it up for a coyote cannon illuminator to get a little more distance. Just got it and hope to play with it over next couple weeks. Not top of the line by any means but fit the budget and i think it will work for my purposes and decent starting point.

Nice, thank you!

What setup did you end up with?
Sightmark Wraith on sale for $350.

I have this setup on a suppressed 300 blackout pistol. I think it's fantastic, but I haven't used it to shoot anything past 50yds. It comes with an IR flashlight and it is very bright, for me. Lights up my whole back yard. I've used it in daytime and nighttime and hit my target every time.

You know where I live. Come on over one evening if you wanna give it a try...

I know thermal is better, but I'm too cheap to pay thermal prices. For $350, the Wraith is worth every penny, in my opinion.

If you can save a couple hundred bucks more and get an AGM Rattler I think you'll be much happier than the less expensive ATN. Just my humble opinion.

If you want to just shoot things at night as cheap as possible then get a night vision scope instead of a thermal scope.

The AGM TS25 will run you about 1800 while the TS35 runs right at 2k. But those are true thermal scopes that are a lot of bang for the buck. I'm pretty happy with my Bering Hogster.

Yeah I think I’m gonna have to up the budget a smidge. Thank you for the insight!!
