What I posted several times yesterday
Go and support ALL your local businesses as you can

Yesterday I hit a local restaurant, pastry shop, and then coffee shop.

Every bit helps them keep the lights on

Dont be scared about the virus, go and live as normal as possible

We don't really have places like that in this town. Mostly fast food and Walmart.

Fayetteville peeps, the 316 Oyster Bar is doing carryout like a BOSS!! Best seafood in town (and ribs, too....holy cow, their ribs are BANGIN’!).

316 Owen Drive at the split of Owen and All American Freeway!https://www.316oysterbar.com

Picked up 2 Thursday Pot roast lunch specials at Angie’s in Garner. They’ve pretty much made a car hop business with numbered parking spaces. I called ahead and it was easy.

I’d hate it if Angie’s closed.

hit up BBQ Shack in Thomasville for lunch today
Very quick service, very tasty

Lived down the road from them for 10 years and never made it in. Always packed... Always...

Yep. I went to the last call the other day from 4 to 5 and been going to get take out at least once a day at various places. Got a take out lunch at Johnnys in Louisburg and went back in and got 8pcs of chicken and a # of BBQ and some slaw. Ate on that for 2 dinners. Probably get take out fish plate today in Creedmoor. I dont even think the place has a name.

Wallburg diner, this morning for my tenderloin, egg, cheese biscuit & tater tots. Their spirits were pretty good, if you are able hit the tip jars a little heavier than you usually do.

Is that the little stand-alone building near the school?
Ive never seen it open!
Im not far from you, about 10 from that location

We had BBQ sandwiches from BBQ Joe's night before last. We dont eat out much other than on date nights, but figured we'd try to help them through, as meager as one meal might be in the grand scheme of a business.

They share the parking lot with the post office. They closed on Sunday, and close early on Wednesday, and Saturday. They have some awesome burgers, and the best homemade blue cheese dressing I have ever had. Josh (the owner) is an awesome guy.

I get it that if they don't have income many of the local spots will fold.

That being said,

Is the thought process here that less people are sneezing on your food if you get it to go or that the virus isn't that big a deal? The kitchen staff are searching the isles for TP and hand sanitizer just like the rest of the gen pop.
It's that you dont have a bunch of people in close proximity in the dining room.

Man, none of yall were concerned about these folks till the gov said to be scared.

I worry more about 50 customers around me than two cooks in the back.

If you went into a restaurant kitchen during normal times, you would probably never eat there again!

But there might be 5-10 people working in the kitchen and some of them are going to the grocery store, hardware store, are around family, dealing with the public to pay, etc. I just don't see how it's much different than dining in. I must be having a brain fart because it doesn't seem much like a quarantine (not that I agree with what's going on in the world ATM).

I can understand if it is a "the medicine is worse than the disease" situation.

Basically I'm trying rationalize going out for a burger.
They say that the risk from eating the virus is tiny, it gets washed down into the stomach and killed. The risk is from handling stuff and then picking your nose or rubbing your eyes. No idea what the truth is, just what I’ve read.

Yeah, I'm trying to support our local pizzaria with takeout.... it's a good thing to do.

Yes, but it's a lot easier to observe symptoms or contact with 5-10 people rather than an unknown number of people who may walk through the door.

But one of those cooks could have been in the emergency room two nights ago. I'm just trying to follow the thought process here. Are you able to articulate yours?
The thought process is to not have a lot of people in one space, here we're looking at 4 people - me, cashier, two cooks. Easy.

yes they could very well be serving Coronavirus soup. But that burger is one less meal of your stockpile you need to eat.

if you more concerned about the actual infection than the aftermath of starving and desperate masses then def stay home.

this virus doesn’t concern me at all. The guy in kitchen with machete who needs to feed his 3 kids does.
