Any recommendations? After a little research leaning towards rifles only brand covers. Suppressor is used on multiple host including 556 sbr and 308 bolt gun. Mainly interested in one for protection from burns when larping...mirage mitigation is also helpful but 2nd on the list of importance.

Not the cheapest but the best selection for proper fit to me is from Cole-Tac. They are very well made and look clean when running them. You can select material colors to roll you own and make it look clean and proper not bulky or such. They also offer some great shooting bags, range bags and accessories … check out the Woobie Bag and such while you are looking at their covers.

I’ve never used one. But one of the guys at Capitol Armory said this is worth every penny:

Apparently it’s Torch Wear with a different label.

I've been running a Rifles Only MAD suppressor cover on an MP5SD for several years. What I like about it is that it is very effective about containing the heat, even after several full auto mag dumps (when the suppressor is way too hot to touch).

What I don't like about it is that it's a bit fussy about staying in place. Their lace up design is nice in terms of adaptability and aesthetics, but the layers tend to move a bit when screwing the suppressor on and off the gun. Velcro would be a more practical option in terms of keeping the layers lined up, IMO.

Someone posted this link in another thread. They look like a great solution. Three diameters, colors and cut to length.

@Bigtig82 - The data in this post (and perhaps even the thread within which it's posted) might help you: https://carolinafirearmsforum.com/i...ssor-cover-recommendations.99870/post-1694916

I ultimately selected high-temp Armageddon Gear suppressor covers. I'd been running their standard version for a few years, and their high-temp version ticked all my boxes. Note that the standard version uses shock cord for lace-up to snug the cover, while the high-temp version uses something not prone to melting for lace-up.

I was seriously eying the Rifles Only Heat Abatement Device (which is linked in the thread referenced above), but it was just way too thick for my use case.

I also use an Armageddon Gear Hot Pocket for those times I want or need to remove a suppressor for cooldown while giving it a safe place to sit while cooling.

This is what I have on all my supressors. Very high temp

Mine lives on their suppressors. I only take the off for cleaning. I’ll have to dig the out and take pictures of them. I wouldn’t run a suppressor with them.

I run Armageddon Gear HIgh Temp.

For larping...it stays in place just fine when doing all of the obstacles during the Run n Guns.

+1 Armageddon Gear for all of my precision rifles. I did briefly use, and was highy impressed and satisfied with the MGM suppressor wraps on my AR specific cans. However when I added the TRex Scout light bar I did not have enough clearance and removed the wrap. The MGM wrap has excellent thermal protection in my experience.

Anyone using TAB Gear? I found them looking for a very compact cover. My need was just for hunting, the can gets hot in the sun and also reflection is bad. Wanted something compact and some type of tan camo. I see Midway started selling them.

I have looked at them.
What I'm after is the lightest most compact I can get.
For my use I really want something with no bungee or webbing onnthe out side. Just a camo cover.
Not even worried with high temp because I practice with cold bore and 2 shot follow up. Only worried with a max string or 3 for hunting. Most the time it is one and done but for a yota I sling lead.
