Doesn't look like the 500 is going to work, so we came up with a different plan. The price is different enough we wanted to start a new thread/poll.

These will be manufactured here in NC by Barnes. Price would be ~$85. However, I don’t think there’s a minimum at all, but the quantity may impact the final cost. Please let us know how many lowers you’d commit to at that price point.

You get one vote, but can change it at any time before it closes in two weeks. I’ll probably move it around like last time for those that don’t check all forums and/or use the “New Posts” feature.

Thanks.

I wasn't going to get in on the other buy, but I'd happily layout for a Barnes! Will it have a Barnes roll mark Plus the CFF stuff?

I’d like to see a sample of the engraving, expect to get 2 but could go more if there is a need.

Meaning you’d need one? Or it would be integral?

The ones I see on their site are the standard non-integral style lowers.

I put 2 but would drop to one if the selector markings take a weird turn.

Two for sure. Thanks to those involved for the continued push and efforts to get this rolling.

Dibs on serial #223 and 224 for my son if that happens to be an option.

To get a fairly accurate count, we need to decide on the selector markings.

I'm in for 2 , serial # 112 & 222 please.

I need to call them myself and get accurate answers, but I would expect the lowers to have:
-standard patriot logo on them, exact details depends on what price is. Maybe the patriot and the border outline of the 2 states.
-open trigger guard
-no stupid selector markings, there will be plenty of forum character with the logo on them

In for 2 to build for my kids to shoot now and inherit later.

I selected 2 based on the price. I'd have to check with my other family members to see if they want me to order them one and pay me for it.

I'm in for 2 right now, final pricing will determine if I can get more.

Do we know when we would have to actually pay for them by? I’d definitely be in for one, but my “gun fund” is going to be on hold till about March or so. I’m getting ready to move and have to come out of pocket for a lot right now.

C'mon guys, we could have an awesome time with the selectors.

*this is just a joke, I'm fine with the normal selector markings. I am reserving judgement till I see a sketch. I'd want it to say Barnes on one side also.

Here’s what I posed to the guys here that are in contact with Barnes:

Questions that need to be answered.

1. Trigger guard - integral or not?
2. Barnes logo on left side and CFF on right? Or CFF on left and blank on right?
3. Able to customize model and SN for CFF?
4. Safety selector options...the basic pictograms they have on their site or customizable with words if we wanted?

Wondering if these would be custom made for us, or they’d simply take a batch of theirs and add our logo on the right side before anodizing.

I think the answers to those questions would allow 99.44% of the members here to vote with more confidence.

If we can customize the SN, I’d think we request a CFF prefix, and start with 0001.

If we can customize the safety selector, I’d imagine a simple SAFE/FIRE is what we have if we opted not to have the pictograms.

Not sure about Model if we have the option to create our own. Something as simple as RKBA, or 2A, or AR15?

While it is only a guess Barnes (Andrew is real creative and works with people like nobody else I know of) offers laser engraving of department logoson their carbines. The ones I’ve seen are pretty much standard BPM on one side of the mag well with the department logo on the other side. All had pictographic markings for selector. The bonus is ALL lower have a special tension screw that the user can set to make the fit of an upper to the BPM lower tight without littl plastic pieces or such being stuck down in the lower ... a very nice little plus!

I did run across this when looking online at safety selector options. I checked the ones I think are fairly generic enough that I’d want, and lined through the ones I wouldn’t. (ETA: this has nothing to do with Barnes, it was simply the result of a search for selector marking options)

I actually have an Aero lower (built into a 9mm SBR) with the PEW options and only bought it because of those markings. I’d probably vote for the BANG options as my first choice, just for something slightly different. Maybe even the smiley faces, as I’ve seen pics of some of those before.

Just need to figure out if it’s even an option to not go with the pictograms they show on their site.

I voted I would by 1. But I would like to see the final design before 100% committing.
Their standard markings would be okay with me, I like the bullets, but I'm okay with Bang/No Bang or Pew/No Pew I think.
And change the BPM serial prefix to CFF and our Logo on the right side. My .02.

I would be in for 1 or 2 but would like to see something before I commit. What logo are we talking about?
As has been stated multiple times (in both threads)...the patriot logo.

Possibly trying to incorporate the outline of the two states, but I’m guessing we’ll end up with the round patriot.

I am in for 2 if I can get CFF0001 and CFF0002, if so I will subsidize a third lower for purpose of a give-away .
I am not familiar with Barnes stuff, is the anodizing like Noveske hard coat or is it like PSA lower coatings?
