I have a lead on a one-owner, lightly used FR from an acquaintance near me. $1,400. Might be able to haggle or trade some ammo to offset the price.

I already have a 107FR and really like it, but it is heavily modified and something about a stock variant speaks to me. Yes, I hate myself for becoming an Arsenal fanboy at some point, and fully realize the premium you pay on these is nearly always for the name and not so much added quality, accuracy, etc. Other than folding, my crappiest WASR does everything the 107FR does.

What say my CFF AK brethren? I'm leaning towards "no," but when Atlantic WASRs and PSA's new 103 clone are hitting a grand, and when new 107Rs are hitting $1,250+, the FR doesn't seem like such a bad deal at all. They won't get any cheaper, that's for nearly sure.

My take? IF you want it, and can get it, Grab it. I still cant believe how high the market has gotten on the damn things.

Arsenal likes to play games and IF they come back in real quantity, they are going to up the price. Or they will change the name THEN increase the price.

If it happened to have the deeper, more defined magwell dimples Id look at it harder... once the dimples changed, they seem to have started having more QC issues.

In the grand scheme of things its a question of how much you want a foreign factory made rifle, with a factory installed 4.5mm trunnion folding stock, with ak 100 style features...you state you already have a much modified one, so perhaps having a "stock" one could be fun.
