The Best Bacon Burger In Every State

Coming in late to this...

Big Daddys in WS is good...but the best in NC? Hell no.
Honestly, my favorite burgers in the Triad are at Tipsy's in HP. Not overpriced (ahem HOPS) and really juicy.

And @DCGallim mentioned Big Eds...Its a good place...when they have food.
Ive been there three or four times. First time I went I got the chicken pie and it was fantastic!
Went the next time and they said that they were out, no problem, I'll order something else. Well whatever I ordered they were out of too, so on to choice number 3.

The last time I went we walked in and were promptly told they only had burgers and hot dogs. Ok, we both ordered burgers. Then she said, "it'll be about 35 minutes"
We looked around, there were three or four other guests at the time and this was about 6:30/7 on a Saturday night.
We left.

Depending on when that was at Big Eds they were going through some ownership isssues. They've figured it out now. And I'm a big fan of Tipsy's, really good fish tacos.

This was about a year ago or so, maybe a year and a half.

Give it another try. They've fixed a lot of problems. Service still ain't great, it never has been. Wife and her sisters worked there for quite a few years early/mid 2000s and it was terrible then.

Ive never had an issue with their service itself, just a lack of food available and then telling me it'll be half a dang hour to look a burger...Are they still processing the half slab of cow or something? lol

Fresh grind every order.

For me, the best bacon burger is my own. Venison with bacon ground in for fat and flavor, and my own seasoning mix, cooked on the grill if possible or in a cast iron skillet if not.

Had a coworker whose girlfriend worked at Bad Daddy's for a little while. I didn't think it was the best burger in the state, but it's been a while since then. Maybe it's gotten better.

Seriously? Both North and South Carolina had Bad Daddy's?
At least go off the beaten path. I vote the Beacon's Chili Cheese a plenty burger. It's not bacon, but it is great.
The Beacon has bacon cheese burgers, but their food has really slipped over the years. I still go from time to time just to get a grease fix. If you're in Spartanburg there's better burgers to be found. Try Ike's Korner Grill, or the Grill on 221.

I'm not sure about other states but the best burger down here comes right off of my grill.

I mix real bacon pieces and crumbled Bleu cheese along with some ancient Chinese secret spices into the meat, mix it all up and carefully plop them onto the Weber.

Next I'll top them with real cheddar slices just before they are ready to come off. People can add whatever flora to them according to personal taste. I usually just top them with onions and mustard.

Y'all are welcome anytime you're in town :)

Raleigh used to have a Big Daddy's. I thought it was good, I don't know why it shut down. Good beer selection, too.

Once upon a time there was a greasy spoon in Pittsboro, the Score Board, made phenomenal burgers.

I do love a nasty, dripping, messy burger.
I miss the Score Board. Used to go there regularly with my grandma. She managed the liquor store in pittsboro and we would go meet her there for dinner. Another good burger is the stockyards in Siler City. I think they are open on Tuesday and Friday and have some pretty good food.
