So this is a multiple season series on the life of Jesus. They crowd funded this entire thing on donations to keep it free from outside influences and they offer it free on a downloadable app for phone, roku and probably more. It is actually a wonderful show.

This is the scene of Simon Peter casting the net after fishing the entire night to try to pay the tax collector and not catching anything and he has returned to shore.

Thank you, Brother! I’m excited to watch! :)
The first season is really fun to watch. The way that Jesus is actually portrayed like a regular man just helps make the Bible really come alive. It's kind of funny because my preacher talks about Jesus and the disciples just as the show describes. It really brings it to life.

Been watching it for two years now. Incredibly good show. Season One is on YouTube - all eight episodes. LOTS of additional videos about the actors and the filming to "see behind the scenes". Helps to appreciate the whole story even more. The App for the series is FREE to download and then you can throw it to your smart tv whenever you want to watch it. Everyone is waiting for Season Three to begin filming in Texas at their new studios there.

The whole show is HIGHLY recommended - regardless of your religious affiliation or lack thereof.

The pilot episode called "The Shepard" was only 23 minutes long and made as a Christmas show for his church in Chicago before it went viral and got picked up to become a crowd-funded series. It ain't "Hollywood" by any stretch.

I've watched the first two seasons and am looking forward to the third season. This is a real gift that brings Jesus alive for people who may not be believers yet.

I heard about this series listening to the "Unashamed" podcast.
Its hosted by a few of the Robertsons from Duck Dynasty.
I think The Chosen is awesome work. Makes it easier for me to relate to the characters as just regular folks.
Like when the guy made the comment about nothing good coming from Nazareth and Jesus just grinned and winked at him, like regular folk would. Well done all around.

Note to self:
I should download the app.
