The end of life as we know it

I've seen it here and there, never had a drop. Thought it was some generic cola or something.

Kinda sad to see it go. I enjoyed one a time or two growing up...but it has never been something we sought out.

I was shocked when they brought it back, it always tasted like flat diet coke they half ass recarbonated.

My favorite Uncle drank Dickel and Wink. Fresca was Coke’s sugar free version of Canada Dry’s Wink ... and the kiddie cocktail he made for us was either with OJ ... to a 10 year old that was big time!

Remember the Cyclamates, banned by the FDA as a food ingredient in 1969 because the saccharin/cyclamate mixture was shown to cause cancer in experimental laboratory rats. The primary concern was that it could be toxic to some individuals who appear to metabolize cyclamate to cyclohexylamine.

I get Harley Davidson parts that are labeled as cancer causing by California.

I’m not gonna eat the dang thing. Or wear it, unless I hit a bridge abutment.
Cancer will be the least of my problems at that point.

It was Diet Rite in my house at that time.

.
You know. That might be what it was. Kudos for connecting the synapses that far back.

I worked at a Burger King in the early 80's, and LOVED IT when some one would order, "yo, gimme a soda". I'd give them Tab and watch their lips turn inside out. :D:D:D

How does this ranks as news? I didn't see a single article bemoaning the loss of Choice Cherry Gold.
smh

when something lasts longer than a porcelain urinal, us old farts tend to get misty, remove our hats and pay our respects.

I think Tums taste great.
