Anybody see it yet? I thought it was great and am looking forward to the rest of the season. Hopefully the quality will remain consistent! The only minor issue I have is the over-the-top (not like Stallone) Martian Marine chick. She was a bit annoying.

I was on the fence regarding this show after the first season. I decided to keep it on the DVR and see if it kept my interest and the season premiere didn't disappoint.

I agree on the Martian Marine lady. Unnecessarily overdone, but maybe it will make sense further along. Didn't care for how they had Joe handle the scientist at the end, but it did surprise me though, I jumped!

Still waiting for Kill Joys and Dark Matter to start back up as well.

Yeah, I did not see that one coming!

And I'm looking forward to Killjoys too. Definitely a little more light hearted but still good. I haven't seen Dark Matter yet.

Well I did not know this series was based off of some books. I may have to go read them now. The second episode was better than I thought it would be. So far, so good!

I haven't watched it yet. Hopefully I'll have time tonight though. Looking forward to it!

The books, as usual, are better. However one of the co-authors works on the show which is why it's as good as it is. The "over the top" martian chick is a prominent character in all the books. She's a rather likable character and I had to laugh at how hard they had to work at the camera angles to make that actress look as big as the character is supposed to be from the books. There are 6 books in total in the series and it's certainly worth a read.

This just reminded me of that scene from season one when the main cast got picked up by the donager and thst Martian guy was interrogating them and taking those pills thst made him psychic or something....wierd....

Yeah, that's what I took away from it too. It just heightened his perception.

I always hate supporting leftists, but I may have to buy the books. Gotta find them in a used book store maybe. ;)

Well what the crap happens now!?!? Is it Wednesday yet!?

What the crap was that thing!? Is this show bringing in the aliens now?

I love to read, but right now I'm enjoying the show so much I don't want the books to ruin it!

i really liked the 1st season. it took like 3ep in the second to really pick up. i agree, the marine chick is way over the top.

i just hate how syfy starts a show and even if its really good they usually dont make it past 3 seasons.like helix, that was a great show and i dont know if they just wrote themselves in to a corner or what but wish that one didnt end.

Don't care, still loving it. Bring on the little blue men!

lol I think I am just annoyed that Earth still hasn't "missed" those missiles yet and no one was worried when what's-his-nuts showed up and started slithering about all the belters.

I read the books last year before season 1, it's a very well done show.
You still have the books? Maybe we should start a book trading club?! ;)

So are Jim and Fred no longer BFF's? Or is it all a clever ruse? Time will tell.

And it just got picked up for a third season. Hopefully they can keep up the quality.

Yeah, I tend not to check the thread until after I've watched that weeks episode. Just in case. Any idea how many episodes we're getting this season?

Finally caught up! Yeah, seems odd how Fred reacted in that scene. Maybe the book readers can shed some light. ;)
WTF is up with Amos? I can't figure out if I like that character or not... and now did he go and do some sort of "detachment" thing that the scientist was talking about??

That's kind of what I'm thinking. Hopefully it won't make him do anything stupid.

Still can't figure out wtf is up with Amos. Little more intrigue this time around too.
I felt that the "tension" between the scientist guy and the captain on the trip to Venus was a bit forced. Still liking the show though. ;)

Yeah, that Captain was being a douche for no reason. Kinda dumb.

Oh and WTF was up with that "shoot-out" on the transport? Was it just filmed/sequenced badly or are we supposed to believe they were that slow, sloppy and inept??

No kidding. Clearly John Wick has been lost and forgotten in the future.

Ok, so why are we supposed to believe Naomi wants to stay and help all of a sudden. Her "argument" about saving people but then saying people die everyday as a reason not to go with them.... just doesn't make sense. Blah writing on that one.

Whatever happened to the flashback storyline about the guy that invented/modified the engine/drives to enable "modern" space travel?

Otherwise, I'm still watching. Hate waiting a week in between shows!

Yeah, that was a little weak.

And I think that dude is dead! That's what I took away from it anyway.

Here's my take on that, he's hurtling away from civilization at a billion MPH with fuel for 100 years and can't hit the brakes. How does anyone know what happened to him or how do we use the technology now?

I took Naomi's statement to mean she feels there are plenty of people who need them right there. No need to chase through the system trying to stop the proto-molecule since it was already loose, and with critter roaming around w/o a vac suit, damage has been done.
