Muddy took to it pretty good

This used to be a horse field but Grandpa got rid of the horses and we were able to open up a pretty good lane

All in all a great day. Awesome December weather, and Muddy brought over all kinds of old mil-surp stuff that was different than the usual. Many thanks to Muddy for giving me someone to tell all my lies to.

and even got some incriminating evidence of Mr. All American shooting a COMMIE AK *GASP* :D
I felt kinda soiled after that, like I needed a shower.

Muddy was pretty much shooting a ragged hole with that 700. He's got it spot on.

Great photos. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. It was a great day for shooting here, as well.

Nice! What kind of distance is that with the AR10's?

Since the dadgum horses are gone I have lots more options. My carpenter buddy and I are gonna build a honest-to-God shooting bench at the 100 yard mark, and I think another one at 50 for the kids (me too) and their 22's. You can see we kinda struggle with any area that's flat and no-trees enough to stretch out the rifles. The range is in an old creek bed that came down the mountain and it's surrounded on 3 sides. Perfect for handguns. I like it and it keeps the noise down too. The bears get a wild hair every now and again and like to tear down my steels. Between them and Muddy shooting my chains with those cursed kommie guns he has...I need to keep lots of repair links handy. :D

That shelter behind Muddy's Remington..we're gonna set up clays there.

Looks like a great time!
Some nice looking land you have!
Thank you. It's a pretty spot, especially during the green times and then fall.

That is a sweet little home range. We used to be able to do that here (25 years ago) but everything around us is developed now. :( .22s only (and maybe a few clays). And the occasional .243, .308 or 6.5 Grendel picking off a deer or coyote.;)

I don't know what it was. That AK just wanted to kill chains that day. I brought it home and bounced the gong a few times this morning and all worked perfectly. I think it just doesn't like your steel.
