The most unpleasant gun you've ever shot

My most recent experience with an unpleasant firearm to shoot was my new purchase. I picked up the Sauer 100 Cherokee in .300 Win Mag. I have equipped it with a Sig Sauer Whiskey 5 (3-15x52) with Spuhr base and Spuhr Hunter one piece 0MOA mount. Not sure what the overall weight of the rifle is, but it is fairly light.

I took it out to zero last weekend and made my attempt from a bipod and rear bag. The recoil was incredibly stout, and I feel like the zero was close, but as I kept wincing from the pain from the recoil, my grouping was inconsistent.

Fired 40 rounds through it, and it beat the hell out of me. I did just pick up another box of rounds to confirm zero, but this time it will be using a lead sled.

T/C Encore .45-70 SBR with a 12" barrel.

though I've fantasized about a .480 Ruger single action for a while. The thought of a '.48 Colt' lobbin' 400gr boolitz at 800-900fps just makes me smile.
These really aren't that bad. I put 4 out of 6 on the 100 yard target and I'd never touched the gun before (friends gun). I suppose you can make em as hot as you want though. I don't know what load I was shooting but it wasn't bad. Some custom load he does for that gun..six-inch model.
It handled well, was easy to sight, and surprisingly..it shot flatter than I expected. At 100 yards it was pretty much right there.
Yeah that was a fun gun to shoot.
