The Mummy

I was prepared to be underwhelmed based on the reviews but I thought it was pretty good too.
 
Agreed on all of the above. I would have done very bad things to the queen. Very bad, disgusting, rotted mummy body things. Oh yes indeedy.
 
Yeah my wife even said, "I can't wait for the next one!" Based off of the ending monologue. The mummy chick was also in Kingsman. She is smoking hot and has some good google images.
 
It was supposed to be the start of a new franchise reboot.
 
I dunno man....
The new stuff just doesn't seem to have the panache and flat-out style the originals did. (not to mention the current PC crap they always hafta include now to destroy the original via snowflake)
The new 'remakes' of these classics leave nothing to the imagination. Everything is spelled out for you using action! and glitz.
The originals scared you using your own mind and wondering what the hell was gonna happen next and I swear that thing lives under my bed!

I freely admit I like the old B&W movies. I think it's because I was B&W in my previous life. :rolleyes:

I can’t stands these new finagled whirly majigs that wash clothes mechanically. There all motors and ball bearings. You don’t know what you’re getting when you throw your clothes in there.

Back in my day we beat out clothes with a rock.....down by the river. That way you knew what you were getting.
 
I have yet to look to the washing machine for entertainment.
And besides, the rocks and the river will still be holding up long after your washing machine is long forgotten. :p

I agree. The new one isn't bad, but it lacks something that the Brandon Fraser ones had minus the third one.
 
Where is this movie playing? BTW, I don't go to the theaters because they're filthy and a price rip off.
 
I was pleasantly surprised by this reboot. I generally don’t like Tom Cruise movies but I found I liked this one as much, if not more, than the original
