Some background:
We had both A/C units replaced in July last year. The compressors were twice as big as the old units so now they are exposed plus both the trash cans don't fit behind the fence (the real issue). This was always supposed to be done over the winter months but due to 'life' it was put off. Plus the wife couldn't decide on how she wanted it to look like. You know, "then the fight started" conversations... All my suggestions were not what she wanted, so I kept on putting it back in her lap.
Well this week she got some initiative on her part and showed me what she wanted. A few questions later all the gaps were filled it. Then it was hurry up and do it...
Here's what it looked like to start.
I needed to start at the garage as that's where the gate would be. The old posts were staying but I needed to put two more in. I had DigSafe out earlier and found that the electric went right were the posts needed to go. No Trump Auger here, nope, had to dig manually.
First hole 10" down, yep, you guessed it... Wire. After that it was digging with a trowel to get to depth, scooping dirt out by hand. The post corner needed to be notched for the wire so it could be put in the correct place. The second hole still needed to be manual but missed all wires. Those post hole diggers are a workout!
My helper was tired.
Gate is done!
The rain is here so the rest will wait a bit...
