Rentable movie on Amazon. I’m familiar with some of the details of this heroic battle, but wasn’t sure how Hollywood would portray it. Is it worth a look?

Watched this tonight,
Outstanding.
It's a must see.
I went into this movie not knowing anything about it hadn't even watched the trailer.
Only battle where there were two living recipients of the medal of honor

Is this movie about the book/documentary by Sebastian Junger? I believe book was called Restrepo (spl?)

I think this is the second movie of this series. If I remember correctly. I think Restrepo was another movie maybe. They are both connected, I do remember that. LOL

Restrepo was a documentary/investigative journalism piece. Really well done. Sebastian one of the few real journalists left of the near extinct species. Also a book, which I had read before the video doc came out. Both excellent
 
About three too many Monster Energy drinks had me unable to fall asleep last night and I found this on Netflix. Idk if it was just the caffeine induced delirium or an actual good movie but I enjoyed it well enough. Certainly does a good job of portraying the shitty situation these men faced in a ridiculously placed outpost. An added bonus was having at least one of the actual soldiers from the battle included in the cast.

 
I thought it was a very good movie also. Ty Carter was awarded the MOA for his role in the battle that is portrayed.

JT side note:

Watch this movie after you watch Zulu, The Siege of Jadotville, and Thirteen Hours. Doing that will tell you a whole lot about a whole lot.
