I'm a fan of good quotes. I've got a rather large binder full of my "Quotes of the Week" which I post at work. (I'm rather behind in updating it, currently.)

Got any favorites? Particularly good ones? Funny? Something historical? Something old appropriate to something current? Post 'em here. And feel free to do a lead-in story, if required, in order to set the circumstances up for it.

Thank you for sharing this quote and its origin; brought tears to my eyes remembering my dad. Here I am, I thought it was my dad's quote :)

I was at a church conference several years ago, and wrote down a quote one of the speakers said, but failed to note who said it. Might have been John Piper. Regardless, it has stuck with me and really hits home when thinking about sharing the Gospel:

Reminds me of one I heard in the Goatlocker one day, when we were having a talk about standards at the command:
